I’ve had it 30 days and I noticed the bottom right of the display is… bloated? It’s just not connected to the bezel. I plan to take it in for repair but it’s wild to me that 30 days of use either caused it to bloat or failed packaging. Regardless, besides that, I’ve spent an insane amount of time troubleshooting issues that should never have been issues. Especially with PiP mode. You’d think by now this should be seamless and especially at this price point. I don’t know, I’m out of the return window now, so it’s mine forever but I’m just really disappointed all around. Shouldn’t have been so greedy and just gone for 2 smaller but comparable displays but I’m out here suffering because I wanted something that really needs more polishing all around.

The screen is awesome and looked really nice for gaming. The issue i have is or may be i missed initially is the screen seemed to be warped. The black panel is bulging out on one corner, may be the glue came off?? Didnt realize it until today laying down on my couch and looking from bottom up to see it sticking out on the right side.

The monitor itself is pretty good. Excellent colors, great for gaming, however where it falls short is Samsung support and software. The software is abysmal and hardly works at all, and the support is nearly non-existent.

The bottom corner of the monitor popped out towards the front while in mid-use. Never seen anything like this before. Looks like low-quality control.

I was so excited when i first bought this. An upgrade that was way over due. Unfortunately the screen hight fell short for me. It was like looking at a 14 inch screen when playing games or looking at docs. I ended up returning it. I gave it a really good try before doing so. Not saying it would be a bother for everyone. It just wasn't meant for me.

It keeps jittering and at one point the oled screen had dead pixels for a while. But it’s fine now and seems to be working but I kept getting random sleeps or shutdowns on my monitor.

We’re sorry to hear your G93SD Monitor is turning off on its own. Please try the following troubleshooting steps which may help resolve the issue:
1. Unplug the Monitor from the wall outlet or surge protector for at least 30 seconds.
2. Inspect the power cord for any visible damage. If damaged, the cord may need to be replaced.
3. Plug the Monitor directly into a wall outlet, bypassing any power strip or surge protector for now.
4. If the Monitor remains on long enough, try updating the Monitor’s software: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now. Note: If your Monitor powers off during the update, it could result in damage, so only proceed if the Monitor is stable.
Next, check the Monitor’s Power and Energy Saving settings to ensure no timers or auto-off features are enabled:
• Sleep Timer: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Sleep Timer
• Auto Power Off and Off Timer: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off/Off Timer
Also, if you have devices connected via HDMI, check if Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled, as this can allow external devices to control the Monitor and may cause it to turn off: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = Off
If your Monitor continues to power off unexpectedly, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG between 8AM - 9PM EST Monday - Friday, and 8AM - 6PM Saturday and Sunday. Our LiveChat agents are also available through the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Would give it 5 stars but my monitor screen detached on the bottom right corner. After an hour with Samsung support they wanted me to mail it then said someone will fix here. Nobody followed up. BestBuy of course does nothing as it’s over 30 days
JoseGrullon Posted
Other than those main issues the panel works perfectly no screen issue (other than when screen is too white) and runs smooth

I had to return this monitor, due to what appeared to be a defective HDMI port. I've read there can be reliability issues. For the price, I want something that just works, and it should work for a long time.

this monitor was cheap but it was just to skinny and small

Packaging The monitor arrived in a box that had markings of what was inside the box. The monitor was secure in the box with a tight packing foam on the bottom and top of the monitor. There were no visible cracks or scratches on the monitor, it came in perfect condition. Included were directions, stand, cable, power cable, and vesa mount. The monitor does not come with a remote which would have come in handy when navigating the menu and volume options. The button to control the monitor is in an inconvenient spot in the back of the monitor. Monitor I went from two monitors (32” and 27”) to the G9. It saves a ton of space on my desk, mounted with an arm, which makes me happy. It looks way cleaner with the one monitor, less clutter. The monitor is extremely light weight, thin with a fair sized bezel. The display is bright, clear, and crisp. The text is surprisingly clear and crip no blow out.I am still messing with the display brightness but straight out of the box it is nice and easy on the eyes with the eye saver mode. I initially was using it as one screen which did have some of the images stretched that did not play nicely with the 49”, however my normal usage is as picture in picture as two displays. I use one side with my media streaming box and the other with my laptops. My MacBook works nicely with the G9 as well as my gaming laptop. While doing a system update for my computer the G9 while in picture in picture mode it went black on the computer side, the monitor did not mirror the computer screen where it was showing a status of being completed. I attempted to change the input and plug and unplug the cable, eventually the monitor started to mirror the computer again. Sound through the aux port did not originally work while in picture in picture mode until going into the sound and selecting which display the sound should be outputted from. I am using two sound sources at this point. One is a soundbar through bluetooth to the media box, and the aux port on the monitor for the laptops. I may eventually change how I am connecting the soundbar and the headphones but for now this way works. I do wish that the monitor had better/more inputs and internal speakers. A monitor at this price point not having internal speakers is odd, along with only having one full size hdmi, a micro hdmi, and a display port is not enough. Two full size hdmi would allow for more options along with a hdmi eARC for speakers. There are no USB A but a cable adapter which was nice but at least one USB A not all peripherals are USB C as of yet. The user interface needs work though, it's clunky and takes a while to find things. Along with the button location to navigate through it being in an inconvenient location, this is where a remote would come in handy. The user interface needs to be revamped. Multimedia, web browsing, multitasking, and gaming in picture in picture, the monitor handles it all very well. I was able to watch or web browsing while playing on steam with no issues. Baltaro and Forza are the games I play on the laptop, both looked great, no issue, quick loading, everything looked smooth. The games looked amazing on the screen with no issues. I was surprised by how it looked, I was concerned that it wouldn't handle it. It looks like two completely separate displays but no bezel in between the two. The monitor is nice, and does its job. I am happy with the size, picture in picture and the crispness of the display. I could not go back to two individual displays. But at this price point I am a disappointed by the minimal input options, lack of internal speakers, unnecessarily large power brick, and feel there are some features that are missing for this price point, with the included features this monitor should cost less or provide more convenience features.

The Samsung Odyssey 49-inch monitor spans the entire width of my desk to give me a seamless canvas on which to work. The monitor has an impressive 5120 x 1440 screen resolution. However, I could only achieve 3840x1080 with my 3-year-old work computer. I have a new home computer that does allow full 5120 x 1440 resolution. I appreciate the additional width of the monitor for my work. However, I missed using my previous 4k monitor (3840 x 2160), which was not as wide. Another thing that I miss is a USB-C monitor connection. There are three USB-C ports, but none of them are capable of acting as a display input. One of the USB-C connections is for Service (but it is also a standard USB-C port). I used the service port to update the monitor firmware. Samsung does provide a USB-C to USB-A Female connector with the monitor to allow firmware updates from a USB thumb drive. The display inputs are full-size HDMI, micro HDMI, and Display Port. I am not sure why they chose micro-HDMI; it is not typical, and its placement next to the power input made it difficult for me to attach my adapter to allow a standard HDMI cable to be used. If I use Picture-In-Picture mode, I can achieve a 3840 x 1440 resolution on half the monitor, and I was hoping to be able to use the second HDMI cable as a second display input from my computer, even though the display setting on the computer saw the monitor there was no output on the display. The OLED screen display is very nice. The surface is matte, so there is no glare. The monitor's back and center ring have LED lights that can be configured in various lighting modes. It is a very nice monitor, and if you have a GPU on your computer that can drive a 5120 x 1440 signal, it is even better. Having a monitor that can display two HD screens side by side is helpful for my work. I give up half of my vertical resolution for a wider width with the same horizontal resolution as my previous monitor.

Not as good as the previous version with the smart features and speakers. If you want a smart monitor go with the LG 45 inch. This is a very bland pretty much featureless monitor just like the older non led g9 monitors.
