Really wanted to like this laptop, as the one I have now is getting a bit older. My current non-gaming laptop is a Samsung Galaxy Book 12, a tablet-style laptop with a detachable keyboard folio, similar to a Microsoft Surface. It’s an i5-8700, so getting quite slow. This laptop is fast, make no mistake. I like the form factor and the portability that it provides, and folding it over backwards to use as a tablet works well. My main complaint is that the screen is way too dim. For an AMOLED screen, it leaves a lot to be desired. Using it in a dark room is acceptable, but in a brightly lit room it starts to get washed out, and hard to read. There are hacks to boost the brightness of the screen using the Intel control center, but that is at the cost of color accuracy, battery life, and honestly really didn’t help all that much. My Book 12 is also an AMOLED screen, higher resolution, and much brighter. Using it in direct sunlight isn’t an issue, and at this point I clean installed Windows 11, debilitated it, shut down unnecessary services, and now have a reasonably performing laptop that I can keep using for now. If the screen was closer to 500-1000 nits, it’d be a winner, and my review would be 4 stars. The other nitpick, why only ports on 1 side of the laptop? Both USB-C ports are on one side, which makes it awkward in some situations where if they had put one on each side, it would make cable management much easier.

I had this computer for a year, and honestly, I had more trouble than I originally anticipated for the price. It worked well and had a lot of storage; however, the connectivity to wifi was terrible. I would take my computer twenty feet from the router, and I couldn't even use Zoom without sitting next to my router. I bought a Lenovo Yoga, and the wifi is excellent, so it cannot be blamed on my wifi at my apartment. I also found it lagging A LOT. I would open up Word or my school's platform, and it would take two to five minutes, depending on how it was feeling that day.

Very disappointed. A line suddenly appeared on the screen. I went to best buy to change the PC and they told me that the screen had cracked. It's frustrating because they didn't replace my PC because supposedly the screen had cracked and that wasn't covered by the warranty. They told me that they had to send it to be checked with Geek Squad and I had to pay 100 dollars for the PC check. I think the PC screen is of poor quality and I find it frustrating that I have to pay for a PC checkup. This was 15 days after I bought it and Best Buy had not changed my PC. Very frustrating!

It’s Okay, nice creature features but it runs about as well as a decade old IPad

I like the keyboard, its slim & light for a larger screen size but unfortunately this one is defective so i will return. I'm unable to back page, glitches, was unable to close a few tabs too.

Size and visuals are good. But the screen is very delicate. It gets cracks so easily. Volume is pathetic. My worst decision to compromise on steadiness and volume.

This computer was not what I expected, but Best Buys was awesome and let me exchange it for the one I needed.

BUYER BEWARE This laptop would be have been great other than it has a known defect wherein the screen spontaneously cracks. Mine was used exclusively on a desk, was not transported and certainly didn't suffer any blows. Less than one month after purchasing the laptop and out of no where, the screen got splinter cracks across it. Samsung will do NOTHING about it. When you search online for this machine, several people have had similar experiences. Pretty egregious that Best Buy and Samsung keep selling this machine knowing the issues it has. Beyond the faulty screen, the laptop itself was fine; but I can't use a laptop that can't be taken with me because it's too fragile.
