I purchased this Galaxy Book5 Pro from Best Buy (USA), and i has only been a few months it has already developed a spontaneous hairline stress fracture with zero impact or accidental damage. The device is in pristine condition, yet the display failed on its own a clear manufacturing defect. I strongly recommend that no one purchase this device. A quick search on Reddit and tech forums shows this is a recurring issue across the Galaxy Book series, with many users reporting identical spontaneous cracks due to poor build quality or thermal stress. Despite this being a known issue, Samsung service (now that I am based in India) is refusing to acknowledge the defect and is attempting to charge for a repair by labeling it 'physical damage.' For a flagship Pro-series laptop, this level of fragility and the refusal to honor the International Warranty is unacceptable. Save your money and look at other brands that actually stand by their products, Samsung must stand by its global customers and honor its warranty.

so far not looking good. screen cracked on it's own not even 6 months in and Samsung isn't standing by it's product. they said ship it, it's covered under waranty. now they say, nope, screen not covered $680 to repair it. might as well get another machine. but not a samsung. if they change their mind, I'll update this review

Salutations JohnC, thank you for reaching out to share your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro. We appreciate your candor and critiques as we strive to make improvements with the functionality and durability with our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer an extended warranty which can be added to eligible devices. It's similar to extended warranty and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. It offers you the ultimate peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. If you would like to share any other feedback with us or if you would like any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Support. Thanks for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/Samsung.png" alt="Samsung" title="Samsung" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />

My husband and I bought two of these. I felt like we were being sold a used car. "But wait, there's more!" We needed computers. Then we asked the Geek Squad to transfer everything from our old computers to our new ones. That's all we wanted. My husband's passwords have all been wiped clean and someone chose to relocate all of my files to microsoft. I did not want them there. I was told I would have to transfer them back. I thought when I requested that the computer file be EXACTLY like how they were, I had no idea that somebody would be deciding for me better ways to use my computer. This has been a miserable experience.

Very bad experience with Best Buy ordering this product. It arrived damaged and they supposed to scheldue return and new order. Instead they scheldue just return and refund. The product was on sale so I could not get it again for the same price. The first agent handling the return told me I will have a new product coming when they will pick up the return
