This is the second one we have purchased. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. The port charger on this is crap. This was protected and treated very well, never dropped, no liquid damage, no nothing and 1 mo after warranty expired it stopped charging, just like the one before it. Spent 1 hour on the phone with Samsung who agreed to look at it, paid $10 to get it to them because there was a discrepancies in what she told me UPS woud do and what UPS actually did (shipping label vs QR code). Once it got there, it's like the conversation never happened. The didn't ever look at it and sent it back....well played Samsung. I will never buy a product from you again.

No full functioning port. Limited on downloading. Purchased for a trip to do work and for entertainment and couldn’t connect portable monitor for presentation. Also couldn’t load my hobby games after being told I could. Was a week to long to return tablet.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DEVICE Possibly the worst technology investment I ever made. Battery life is abysmal and charging time just as bad. The term "smooth scrolling" does not apply. The screen is "jerky" and lags between screens. Well over half the time, I get a "cannot load media" when trying to stream. If the unit has been off for a day, when it's restarted, it delivers all the notifications from the previous day, even though they had been cancelled on my phone. It takes over four minutes to load a web-based app that loads on my Samsung Galaxy phone in about 15 seconds. I bought an SD card to increase storage, only to find that you cant store programs or apps there - so it was a waste of money since all my data is cloud based. This was recommended to me as a "good quality low budget tablet." I found out that you get what you pay for!!

Half of the screen goes black or has lines and the touch screen stops functioning. This happens intermittently but makes the tablet unusable. I am having a hard time finding how to get this repaired under warranty from Samsung who want to charge over $100 to repair the device.

Best Buy customer service is the worst. We have been very good customers of Best Buy over the years (televisions, computers, printers, etc.) I ordered this a Samsung tablet for my husbands for his birthday. It arrived July 12 and I gave it to him for his birthday in early August. It would turn on and you could play games for a while, then the screen would go black. It would eventually come back on, but you do not know for how long. We took it back to the North Olmsted store. The clerk said no problem, they would exchange it. Then he said oops, there is a 14-day limit on returns. He called the manager who said too bad and refused to talk to us. When I got home, I called customer service and got the "Too Bad" answer. The moral of the story is "Don't buy a present from Best Buy because you will not be able to return it if it breaks or doesn't work.

Bad Battery despite “excellent” condition Leaks battery really really fast, like 5-7% or more in the space of 30 minutes. I should have checked the battery more properly instead of just looking at an app say the battery is good.

I truly HATE this tablet. I have a Samsung Chromebook (my 3rd one) that I was using for work (home health nurse) but needed a touchscreen. Bought this thing and it has been nothing but problems. I've been to the local Samsung "Experience" store numerous times, but they aren't very helpful. Just want to sell you products. As soon as I can afford it, I'll dump that tablet in the nearest garbage can. It is not worth my sanity. I hate hate hate hate it! (and I'm typing this on my old, trusty chromebook. AND PS: Those "optional" things below - battery, display, etc., don't paint the whole picture. Those things are OK. I still hate that thing.

Sadly, I can't recommend this tablet, unless you are buying as a streaming device for a kid, and definitely not for playing games. I wanted to use it for very basic work tasks (emails, reading PDF files, minor document editing, etc.) and it couldn't handle that.

My wife selected this tablet, thinking it similar to others she had, because of sale price. Turns out she didn't like the larger size - too cumbersome, and the tablet is so slow and has so many problems only experienced when others were old, she thinks it's used and not redone. We had ordered online and they made us wait forever because they couldn't find the one that was supposedly in stock.

Ive had this item for only a few months, and already have problems. The battery has gone kaput. It stopped turning on completely. Ive tried keeping a charge on it but no luck. It worked fine until i left it alone for a few weeks and the battery ran out completely. But since then no matter what i do i cant seem to get any life, or it even to turn on. Never had an issue before the battery running out completely.

Look elsewhere for a tablet because this one isn't it. Glitchy, twitchy & freezes up. It charges really well which is a plus as your gonna be wasting time & effort waiting for this tablet to snap out of the fog & start performing. I absolutely hate Apple but if you want a tablet.......

I bought the exact model from another store. 1st one would not charge the battery. I took that one back and bought another one. I loved it at 1st, 4 months later the battery stopped charging. I can't find the receipt and the store said I had to produce the receipt if I wanted a refund or exchange. Now I'm looking for a different tablet. Good luck to everyone who bought one, hopefully, you will not have any problems.

Completely terrible. Don’t buy this. Even if you add a SD card you can’t add anything to the card it won’t let you. It’s garbage. Avoid at all costs. There’s better tablets out there.

1. Takes too long for anything to load. 2. It sometimes doesn’t turn on, resulting in pressing multiple buttons to force a reboot. 3. Has audio problems when it comes to using headphones or anything plugged into it. 4. Sometimes unresponsive to touch. Would much rather have bought an iPad or a Mini PC rather than this. At least with those I’ll know the quality I’m getting.

It appears to have promptly broken 13 months into the purchase. Refuses to power on correctly. Efforts to factory restart have failed. Considering we've purchased ~3 Samsung Galaxies and they have all done variations of this same thing, I think we're done purchasing them at this point. Shame on me for thinking Samsung makes something that is not crafted out of duct tape and silly string.

My tablet was shipped to my old address, which doesn't make sense because I used my billing address as the shipping address. I dont know how they messed that up. I talked to customer service and was told if I can pick it up from my old address?? I live far away, and I don't think Best Buy is going to pay my gas for their mistake. Not a good experience.

Unreliable. Purchased on May 24, 2024. Stopped connecting to wifi on November 8, 2024. Samsung tech support tried everything before issuing a repair repair/replacement, but I'm not optimistic. It was brilliant when it worked, but 169 days is a very short lifespan.
