Does this phone have trip detection & can I call 911?

I would assume that the LTE version also has the BT feature correct? I can buy the LTE version and hook it up later, and use the BT connectivity until I add the shared line?
Answered by BearYes. This watch will connect to your phone via Blue Tooth. The watch will need to stay in proximity to your phone. I can move about my house without issue. I have only owned this watch for approx. a month. I have not yet taken the next step to contact my phone carrier to set up the watch LTE to be a stand alone. So far, I really like the watch,
Is the incident detection on ALL THE TIME or just during activities? I'm looking at this watch for my father. He's getting up in age, and I like the idea of it detecting a fall whether he's on a walk or at home.
Answered by thrudacusIt is on all the time. I use a Samsung phone (S8 edge) and am non-ambulatory with MS . I have the LTE watch, but not activated (treat as if Bluetooth watch). If your watch is within Bluetooth range (~20 without barriers) of your phone, watch is connected to wifi (same network as phone) or the watch is activated LTE (~$10/mo), a fall (which you setup via the Samsung Galaxy Wearable app on your phone/watch for LTE) will contact your emergency list via text message. I do not know about calling or to 911. The text message to your emergency contact list will send location (Google Maps link) and message for help every certain interval for 24 hours or until cancelled. A fall has a certain definition (check Samsung website for definition to prevent false-positives). Three presses of the Home button on the watch will act like a fall. For falls where the victim is conscious, able to work the watch and no emergency notification went out, I would advise sending a text message or call from the watch to one person to help. The emergency contact list may get annoyed if the fall is not cancelled. If the user does not have a phone or a phone within range, I would advise getting the LTE version and paying the extra per month.

Answered by Luisp87Jerry, the difference between BT and LTE is that bluetooth you connect it tk your phone and works while its near your phone. But LTE it shares your phone number and you can leave it at home and stilll make/take calls, text while out and about.
anyone else have a hard time connecting to network because there was no sim in box? After more time spent on the phone with AT & T I am now waiting for a card to be delivered.
Answered by tmaitlanYES I had a hard time Called Sprint and they had me take it to corporate store. They still couldn't get it connected. Called Samsung and they had me send it in. I was told the same as you from sprint on the phone, that no Sims card but when I went to the corporate store she said watches don't come with Sims cards no matter if they are LTE. Frustrated as you are. Hope you find an answer because I'm still furious. Should have came READY out of the box.
