Dear Best Buy team, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue with the Samsung Wireless Rear Speaker Kit (Model: SWA-9500S), Order ID:BBY01-807062414343) that I recently purchased on Jun 03, 2025 from BestBuy Website. Upon unboxing and installation, I discovered that both rear speakers in the kit are for the right side—there is no left-side speaker included in the package. This clearly appears to be a packaging or manufacturing error, as the product is expected to contain one right and one left rear speaker for proper surround sound functionality. Due to this defect, I am unable to use the product as intended. I therefore request a refund for the item at the earliest convenience.

I purchased the HW-A650/ZA from Bestbuy and it says SWA-9500S are compatible rear speakers on the soundbar webpage. So, I ordered them. Couldn't pair them to the soundbar which made me go online for research. Seems like most people are saying they are not compatible. Big disappointment because I purchased these over the 9100 as I thought they would be an upgrade. Now I have to return.

Not worth the money the surround sound is non existent. I bought these speakers to create surround sound at my home you can’t hear anything from the speakers they are horrible I wish I would not have purchased them

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers to accompany your Samsung Soundbar.
Once this kit is connected to a compatible Samsung soundbar, the soundbar remote is then used to control the volume level of the rear kit. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
Also, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
You might want to try turning off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.

Very disappointed, ordered speakers that were not compatible to soundbar after told in store that they were. Used $$115 in certificates and now told that I can't use the certificates for anything else after returning the speakers. Customer service with the 800 number was the worst, customer service in store said there's nothing that can be done.

Well didn't have it hooked up for long but it sounded great when it was. Later in the day after hooking it up the volume went up fairly loud by itself. Turned it down and later left the room and when i came back the volume was up again. After 3 times i turned it off and reluctantly took it back.

Wouldn't pair with my sound bar. Had to call Samsung for help. No information on website about compatability with sound bar. Very unhappy with Samsung and Best Buy for putting me through this ordeal. Returned them, no help for Best Buy for my troubles. Good bye Best Buy, get treated better at Amazon. Probably won't buy ANYTHING from Best Buy, EVER AGAIN!

Well to be honest this is the second set of rear speakers. The first set would not pair and they said they were the wrong ones. So I had to be this pair for a $100 bucks or more upcharge and get the home and guess what they don’t pair either. Do not recommend getting the Samsung sound bar and rear speakers and sub woofer like it did buy them as a unit at once don’t piece them together they won’t work!!! Will be returning the whole dang set and going to another option may even switch stores not happy with the current situation.

The geek squad customer service agent said these speakers were compatible with my surround system and they were not. So an easy Bluetooth connection became impossible and ended up returning them to the store.

They were the wrong speakers for the soundbar I purchased. I called Samsung and verified but the rude sales agent at best buy knew more than the manufacturer. I did not return them because I did not want to deal with Bestbuy again.

They need to update the list of the only 3 sound bar that are compatible with these rear speakers. HW-Q700A, 800A, 900A. I was informed by a employee that they would sync with the HW-Q850A since I wanted to upgrade the rear speaker it came with. Unfortunately they do not pair and had to return them.

Best Buy solicited me by email to purchase these speakers to go with the Samsung tv, sound bar and subwoofer that I purchased from best buy. I have spent hours upon hours with tech support, Samsung support, online forems and they will not connect with my sound bar. I spoke with Best Buy tech support for over an hour only to be disconnected with no return call back from tech. I just got of phone again with Best Buy now stating it’s out of the return policy and I have to physically go to store and ask manager for an exception. I have no more time or patience to give after spending thousands of dollars on this equipment and hours trying connect these speakers to the sound at. If Best Buy did not email me about these matching speakers I never would have sought them out for my system.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Samsung SWA-9500S wireless rear speaker kit. Your experience is very important to us and will be shared with our product team. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:
Plug the SWA-9500S power cord into an outlet and into the speakers to turn them on. Turn off your soundbar and press the Up button on the remote for 5 seconds. The ID SET message will appear on the soundbar for a short time and then disappear. After the ID SET process, the soundbar power is automatically turned on. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the soundbar and the rear speakers.
If the LED light is solid blue, the rear speakers are connected to your soundbar.
If the LED light is blinking blue, the rear speakers are recovering the connection:
• Check if the power cable attached to the main soundbar unit is properly connected or wait about 5 minutes
• Turn off the soundbar by pressing the power button on the main soundbar unit. Configure "ID SET" using the soundbar's remote control, then turn the soundbar back on.
If the LED light is blinking red and blue, there is a malfunction and will require service.

This speakers are garbage. They unpair to the soundbar constantly and they will not pair together. You will go through the process multiple times because 1 speaker will pair but the other will not. And you cannot pair just the 1 after. They must be done together. I have been on samsung that was POINTLESS! They did nothing i had to figure out they must be done together everytime. I have another samsung soundbar with 2 rear speakers that have a hub you wire to. Never had an issue with those.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the volume of your SWA-9500S Rear Speakers.
Please know, there are various settings you can adjust to improve your experience with the rear speakers.
You can adjust the volume of the rear speakers by using the remote included with the connected soundbar. Press the CH LEVEL button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
Additionally, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If you are using a format such as PCM, you may experience decreased volume to the rear speakers. Select Bitstream, Auto, or Pass-Through as these settings will allow the TV to send the correct channels to the rear speakers.

Speakers are good but the manual has the wrong screw size for the wall mount speakers does not come with wall mount screws. Samsung themselves will refer to the manual which is wrong. Had a hard time finding the screws. Speakers are good.

Please know the mounting hole size is 1/4" - 20 UNC threaded insert. You will need standard screws (6.3 mm, 1.3 mm Pitch) & Length: 18.0 mm long.

I am sorry to see that there has been some confusion regarding compatibility of the SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers.
These rear speakers do require specific Samsung Soundbars to pair with. They are not compatible with a TV alone. They will work with select Samsung Soundbars from 2021, 2022 and 2023 models.
