Q: Is this compatible with soundbar HW Q800T?
A: Hi Doug! The HW-Q800T Soundbar is compatible with the SWA-9000S and SWA-9100S Rear Speaker Kits. ^Gina
A: You will need to buy the SWA-9000S. The SWA-9100S is the replacement for the SWA-8500S speaker kit, which is just standard 5.1 audio, and the SWA-9500S kit is only compatible with 2021 sound bars (at least for now). I tried to pair this kit to a Q900T (which already supports rear true wireless speakers) and it didn't work. Unfortunately, Samsung announced incorrect information at CES 2021.

Got these with the HW-Q800B/ZA and a QN85 TV. How the 3 system works together is quite excellent. Most sound bars sure of the tv sound, however with the Samsung Q Symphony, the tv sound remains on to complement the other speakers. These has up-firing speakers. Also, its compatibility is limited to the higher end sound bars. I wouldn’t pay full price on these, but if you can get it on sale, it’s a good value. They are only compatible with the following 2021/2022 sound bars: 2022: HW-S800B, HW-0800B, HW-Q700B 2021: HW-0900A, HW-0800A, HW-0700A

Adding these to Q700A also pickuped from BB. Gotta have ATMOS these days in home theater! The setup is a breeze and make sure you place the right L/R speaker accordingly (Labeled at the back of it). I didn't noticed that and was wonder how the system know which one I put and thought there is actually a positioning sensor to detect it, hey, it's a wireless ATMOS speaker! End up I was just pure luck to place the right L/R at place. As for the ATMOS up firing channel, unfortunately I'm not able to experience too much since I have a high ceiling and already crank rear up volume to highest +6. Anyway I still get the rear surround effect to stunt me sometimes (Black Hawk Down). One of the thing I want to highlight and struggled as most people do on this Samsung rear ATMOS speakers are: the mounting screw for the stand! Product spec sheet didn't mention any, BB and even Samsung didn't have clue what exactly the thread these speakers has, it's a joke! Saw some people just quote what BB (eventually feed by Samsung) that the thread is 6.3mm width, 1.3mm pitch, 18mm length, people tried M4/5/6 and some just simply 3D print one, and the thread is just simply a standard camera mount screws with 1/4-20, I simply use a 1/4 screw from my scrap box and finally done!

I bought these speakers to pair with my Samsung Q700A Soundbar. I liked how the soundbar sounded, but definitely felt I wasn't getting the "full" surround sound experience. After buying these, I will never go back to just a soundbar and subwoofer. There are definitely some challenges to note with these. I picked the soundbar based off the recommendation that came with my TV. On that same recommendation sheet, it listed these speakers. I knew everything would sync up and work correctly, but if you have the wrong TV model, they may not work correctly. Also buying either these or the soundbar used may cause you to run into issues with controlling them. So far, the only way to control them is through a separate app (which I have not yet installed) or the remote that came with the soundbar. Many people have said they are too low, but once I turned them up all the way with the soundbar remote, I haven't had any issues. You'll want to make sure the show/movie/etc. you are watching has Dolby audio to really get the full effect. I would also recommend you get a study stand if you don't plan to mount these. While they are not the biggest speakers in the world, they do feel solid. The first pair of stands I bought were not very stable and I worried these would come down any second now. Also make sure you place the right and left speaker correctly. First time I set these up, I had them backwards and thought my sound wasn't as good. Overall, if you already have a compatible TV and soundbar, these are a no-brainer. Especially if you can find an Open Box version with everything included. You will feel like you have your own movie theater with these!
