We have 1 shorthair dog. This $500 vacuum has all the bells and whistles but constantly clogs due to poor design for picking up pet hair. What good are the lights, the master dust bin, all the modes....if it cannot pick up some dog hair?

We were due for a new vacuum cleaner and decided it was time to upgrade to one of the more expensive models with more options. This one is not it! The power detect mode is annoying and very loud when on the high suction setting. We have mainly hard surfaced floors with area rugs for accent and this does not do well on the rugs. While trying to use the attachments it would act like it was overheating and shut itself down after about 10 seconds. The one function that I did like was the auto-empty system, as it was very convenient. Returned it to the store and went back to the more economical and more basic design.

I bought this in lieu of purchasing another Dyson, as I wanted something cordless. I have dogs, and I have to vacuum every day to keep my house clean. I thought that the brushes on this would also help with dust, and since it was a bit cheaper than the Dyson it seemed like a win/win. I've been using this daily for about three months now, and every time I use it, I want to take it outside and destroy it with a bat. The engineers who designed this machine must have gotten their degrees with chatGPT. If it's on tile, it automatically goes into a lower suction mode, and doesn't pick everything up. If it's on an area rug, it goes into the highest suction mode possible, and you can't even roll it over the carpet- it sticks to the carpet to the point you can't push it forward. Dog hair and dirt will build up around the first roller, every time, and has to be cleaned out. If I use it on regular carpet, it overheats. I still have to bring out my old Dyson animal twice a week to pick up whatever this awful vacuum leaves behind, and the entire purpose was to avoid that. My Dyson is to heavy, and I have a back injury. This product has added about 30 minutes of rage to my daily routine, and I can't justify replacing it because it was $600. Avoid it at all costs.

If I could give this thing 0 stars, I would. Coming from a Dyson stick vacuum to this feels like such a downgrade. Everything about it feels cheap. It doesn’t have good suction on carpet, instead it just pulls itself across it. The tiny wheels get hair wrapped around it so fast and they are very difficult to clean. The wheels leave rubber marks on the floor if they’re the least bit stuck. The motor head is constantly going back into the stop position, turning off the vacuum. It’s managed to chip 2 pieces of my flooring. The only thing that I like about this is the ability to bend the arm and the self-emptying feature. I regret buying this and I’m so disappointed with myself for missing the return window. This is the worst household purchase I’ve ever made.

I had to exchange the first two because neither one would clean the carpet --- leaving streaks on the carpet. The front roller had to be taken off often to clean it -- if not-- then it wouldn't clean the carpet at all. ALSO-- it didn't want to move in one direction without having to manually having to push it in that direction which was hard on my arms. The third on that I now have seems to clean and goes in any direction that I vacuum. Downfall--- the front roller still needs to be taken off and cleaned often. I really don't want this vacuum cleaner, but I have no choice---I cannot get a refund, so I'm stuck with it.

If you have a dog this is not the vacuum for you. Returned it once I realized the handheld attachment does not circulate like the floor attachment. Picked up virtually no pet hair from any surface other than the floor. Went with Dyson V15 instead and very pleased.

We purchased this vacuum in October 2024. We are 8 months in to owning it and it stopped working. Its less than a year old. We contacted Shark and they are sending a part, but we have to pay the shipping. It comes woth a 5 year parts and labor warranty. Nowhere in the warranty does it state that we would have to pay for shipping and they are saying we have to fix it ourselves. What happened to standing behind your product? Definitely do not recommend purchasing any shark product.

I hate this vacuum and will be returning it. It cannot handle pet hair at all. Most of the hair gets stuck between the rollers. Some of it gets sucked to the top of the canister where it sets off the max fill line sensor. Vacuum thinks its full when it isnt. Must be emptied every 30 seconds. This is the most expensive vacuum I have ever purchased and by far the worst. I hate this piece of …

Awful. The suction changes based on what it thinks the dirt situation is and it is awful. Horrible suction, it changes speeds and suction power up and down and it needs to just run at full speed or at least have settings to choose full speed. Wont pick up anything along baseboards and is just overall not good.

This product is only good on hardwood or tile floors. Won't go forward without extreme force on any type of carpet. I would not even recommend this for area rugs. Disappointing when though i love all of my previous shark products.

We have 3 labs, this vacuum is absolutely horrible. It does not do well with lots of dog hair and the dog hair gets trapped in the roller all the time. I have it and wish I wouldn't have spent $500 on it
