Precise Focusing, Exceptional Convenience Flexing a vast zoom range and a fast constant aperture, the Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens covers a variety of popular focal lengths, equipping you to capture everything from sweeping landscapes to intimate portraits all with one lens. Designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless camera systems, this lens provides a minimum focusing distance of 15.8" across the entire zoom, ensuring your ability to capture detailed close-ups of your subjects. Driven by an HLA motor, this lens delivers quiet and precise autofocusing, and its rounded 12-blade diaphragm ensures pleasing and circular bokeh. This lens repels damage from outside elements by coupling a water- and oil-repellant front lens element coating with a dust- and splash-resistant design. Two AF-L buttons are available to be programmed based on your shooting needs, while a zoom lock switch prevents the lens from accidentally extending. The lockable aperture ring with click/de-click function enables smooth adjustments and prevents unintentional value changes. The optical design incorporates two F Low Dispersion (FLD) and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements to markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy. Five aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering, while a water- and oil-repellant coating applied to the front lens element minimizes liquids from sticking to the glass.
