I tried Beta out and was hooked. Im so glad i tried it out because from what i saw about this game i wasnt impressed. Its got an open ocean you can single play like i have or team up and help or ask for help on certain quests. The ocen has Rouge Waves and all. Theres ship wrecks to plunder and resources to mine or harvest or cut down. You also get to explore around different islands and places. Not every place but plenty and the other places you can buy, sell and trade. If tgeres a trial or anything for this game i recommend to give it a try. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME AND DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT....

Skull and Bones despite lacking content does offer an enjoyable experience with gameplay being pretty solid.

One of my favorite games very fun that I haven’t gotten bored yet. There are so many things you can be doing only had to say is no sword player gun fighting overall I really like it a lot.

Are there things they could add? Sure. Is the game repetitive? I dont think so. Is the game assassin creed black flag? Not what so ever. I like this game is different. I love that this game takes place on the ship 90% of the time. I think people just hate that they expect too much out of every company and every game. Graphics are nice! The game play is a lot of fun! But the thing that sucks is nowadays people expect too much and always listen to peoples reviews instead of trying it for yourself. I think they underrated this game. Theres so much more they could do with updates and add-ons. I hope the developers dont give up on this game even though with the way it sold they probably will. When or if this goes on sale or marked down to a 40 dollar price tag. Instead of listening to people talk crap about this game! Maybe give it a shot! Upgrading a ship abd unlock ship uogrades to changing ships color and adding different cannons and guns to the ship's. Running quest to take down sea monsters to running drugs and alcohol across the seas. Taking down fortresses or hunting ships or other high ranking fleets to takedown to collect their loot. And even the pvp fighting to capture areas or join a group and run the map. This game just about has it all. Hopefully like i said with add-ons and updates it will. Im not sure why im bothering writing this review when i need to get back to taking loot and smuggling on the high seas.

Skull and Bones is… fine. Not great, not terrible... just a mixed experience that shows flashes of potential but never quite lives up to it. The naval combat is clearly the highlight. Ship-to-ship battles can be fun and tactical, especially early on, and there’s a certain satisfaction in managing your loadout, positioning, and timing during fights. Visually, the game looks solid on PS5, with nice water effects, weather systems, and detailed ships that help sell the pirate fantasy. That said, the gameplay loop gets repetitive pretty quickly. Missions tend to blur together, exploration feels more constrained than expected, and progression can feel grindy rather than rewarding. What starts as engaging naval action eventually turns into doing the same activities with slightly higher numbers attached. One of the biggest disappointments is the lack of depth outside of your ship. The world feels like it should be rich and immersive, but it often comes across as shallow. The pirate fantasy is there on the surface, but it doesn’t fully land in terms of storytelling, character development, or meaningful choices. Multiplayer elements are serviceable but not compelling enough to carry the experience long-term unless you’re already invested with friends. Solo play, while functional, can feel a bit empty. Bottom line: Skull and Bones – Limited Edition isn’t a bad game, but it’s not a standout either. It has moments of fun naval combat and decent visuals, but repetitive gameplay and missed opportunities hold it back. Worth checking out if you’re a pirate-ship enthusiast or find it on sale... but don’t go in expecting a deep, unforgettable adventure.

I hesitated in buying those game, but I’m a so happy I bought it. I’m currently addicted to it lol. It’s nothing like assassins creed as some expected and that a great thing, let me explain. There’s no killing, I’m not sure why people like that in games, I prefer a more humane, realistic approach and this game delivers that. You can visit and explore islands which feel so realistic, I see different tribes fighting for trade routes and that’s so funny and cool to me, I love exploring and riding my ship over the sea, it relaxes me so much. There waters are treacherous lol when storms hit you see the water be very agitated and that so cool. You can become friends with some tribes and do missions for them, very realistic missions like gathering materials that they need to survive. It’s a very realistic type of game, and acquired taste actually. I hate mindless killing in games which I know some people love, not sure why. I love this game so much, I enjoy customizing my ship and changing colors for my ship and crew. The best thing is also seeing other players riding their ships lol which makes me feel like I am not alone. Some ships are awesome looking which makes me want to get a ship Similar to theirs. Cool game, cool story, people are just so used to killing in games that when they receive something opposite they find it boring. I find it fun and actually enjoyable to play this game. 10 out of 10 so far lol.

Originally I was excited for this game, I had been looking forward to this for a long while but after the first major update I haven't touched the game as it felt like number crunching more than pirating. Maybe I'll check on the status of the game again at some point but I'm very disappointed.

Its done well enough in my opinion. But it could use a bit more action off the ship. There are too many little cut scenes for basic tasks. Little buggy from the start but bery playable. Repetitive. Long travel times sometimes gets boring. Graphics are pretty good. It get easier after leveling up but not sure how entertaining end game will be once the story is over.

People have got to stop comparing it to black flag. It’s a naval warfare game. Pretty good graphics, multiplayer open kind of. It’s ok. Waited years for it so can’t be too disappointed

Great atmosphere and the naval combat is fun and deep. Overall has the same sort of Ubisoft grindiness in the end game which can get tedious. Wish there were swordfights

The main story and work up to end game was fun with the exploration and upgrades but once you finish all the quests it just becomes a repetitive grind.

This game took forever to release and as a result was highly-anticipated. While it does not have the ability to engage in hand to hand pirate battle and relies only on ship versus ship conflict, it is still a fun game. It will provide plenty of entertainment "bang for the buck".

While this game did itself no favors by claiming to be a “quadruple-A” experience, what they’ve ended up with is a vast, fun adventure on the high seas. It’s not everything they promised, but the game offers a relaxed and fun world to explore on your trusty schooner. Allows you to play sort of however you like - don’t like PVP? You don’t have to do it. Just want to explore hidden islands and craft goods for in-game gold? Go for it. Want to utterly destroy the world? That’s an option too. People were ready to hate this game, but totally worth some time. I’ve had a blast with it.

Deal of the day game, no brainer. When you can get a game with a price drop, do it, the best time to check out if the game is worth it as the price is right!
