Speaker had a very visible scratch on the front so I think it should have been under Open Box Satisfactory and not under Excellent, it could’ve also been cleaned up a bit since it looked pretty dirty when I got it. I Had to do a whole troubleshoot and factory reset to get it to work. But it works now and the sound is pretty solid. I’m pleased overall.

I bought this to finish out my ARC and surrounds system and I ended up returning them, because at that price point I wanted to be a bit wowed. I wasn't wowed - but I dont think it was necessarily the fault of the Sonos system. I have an odd room to put it in and I just dont think the system was meant for odd shaped rooms, but rather square of rectangular rooms with flat ceilings (mine is half-vaulted). As far as this bass module goes, I was able goes - the set up is incredibly easy and having the ability to move it around until you get the best sound in any part of the room is great, however this is a heavy speaker and is very well built. It's also finger-print and smudge prone because it's shiny surface. Sonically, I was underwhelmed. No matter where I placed the speaker, I just longed for more bass. I see some folks have opted for 2 of these for their system and that just seems too expensive.

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to try our products! We really appreciate it. We have a feature built into our app called trueplay tuning that solves this problem exactly. All you need is an IOS device and about 2 minutes per room, to tune your Sonos speakers to the environment that you're in!

When it comes to Sonos sound quality the sound was excellent without the sub. After spending an exorbitant amount of money on the sub the difference is minimal. Plus the thing weighs a ton and takes up a lot of space. The price does not justify the outcome.

In my opinion, this subwoofer is over-hyped and over priced. I have owned other subwoofers that cost less than half the price and produced similar quality bass effects. This does not mean this is a bad subwoofer—it is just not twice as good for twice the price. An argument can be made for the convenience of the Sonos software, which is great. The software is incredibly well done and thought out—but it is easy to set up a sub without the use of software. The 3 star rating is based on value. If you decide to purchase this sub, be sure to experiment with placement in your room, because this makes a very big difference. I would recommend this subwoofer to a RICH friend.
When it stays connected it has great sound but my Sonos products have proven to be highly unreliable/inconsistent with respect to staying connected tot he SONOS app and therefor being able to be managed using the app. One could blame it on WiFI I suppose but every other tech procus that I use in my house that is connected tot his WiFI has not issues ith staying connected and available.

This review is just to note the usage with a TV and the ARC soundbar. I'm sure it must add something if you don't have the ARC. We did not notice enough of a difference to justify the price. SONOS did a wonderful job on the ARC with decent bass in our opinion. Again, this bass mod is beautifully designed and works well. If you don't have the ARC, or are using along side other SONOS speakers ...buy it.

I have the Gen 1 and this speaker is a Gen 3. After pay seven hundred plus dollars, I learned that these are not compatible. Very disappointing. (The update is a GEN 2 update, confusing) I do not want to wait for an update and I am not going to replace all my speakers that are not 2yr old. I like these more than the Bose, but the thought of waiting for an update, or receive a coupon for 15% off for a speaker upgrade. SMH disappointment

Attractive looking Sub that's easy to setup. It does help the bass when paired with the Arc, but can't say it's stunning. A sub included in an all-in-one Sony system from 13 years ago performed better and was half the price for the entire setup.

Thanks for the feedback. We're sorry that the out of the box experience wasn't as impactful as you hoped. If you are looking to enhance the Sub's performance you can try two things. First, you can use the Trueplay tuning which will optimize the sound for your room. Second, you can go into the Sub settings and adjust its volume on its own. You can do so by following these steps. (Settings, System, "room with the Sub", Sub Audio). Here you can turn the level of the Sub up and achieve the impact you are looking for.

We hooked this up to our TV and used it with the soundbar. We didn’t notice a difference at all. We thought the subwoofer wasn’t working, but it actually was. Not worth the money, and our 8 year old Bose subwoofer does a much better job.

It's a good sub, but the app that controls it is trash and makes it a sub-par sub. It doesn't come with a remote, so the app is the only way to set it up and control most of it's features. Also, Sonos has issues playing my music on surround using Amazon Music. When listening in surround, one song is excessively loud and the next is so soft you cant hear it at all. There is no excuse in paying this much for speakers that has so many issues, and these issues take away the features that you pay extra for. Stick to basic speakers unless you want to be broke and develop high blood pressure from the frustration caused by Sonos issues.

Quality product and is a perfect sub to complete they Sonos surround sound system. Struggles with lows when used as stereo sub.

This does not work with Apple Homepods. This Does NOT work with Apple Homepods. This, DOES NOT work, with Apple Homepods. Counter to what the experts at the home theater section told me; "hey just go home plug it in and turn it on, should work fine!"

There are no remotes and to sync it with the sound bar is frustrating. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's connected unless you turn up the sound really loud or there is a lot of bass.

Speaker sounds great when it connects, but it is very difficult to connect to my Sonos network wirelessly. If given an opportunity I would not purchase this product again. I would research other options.

Added this to my arc and the two sonos ones. It didn't do that much for $750 plus tax. I returned it.
