I’ve used both Gen 3 and Gen 2 Sub with the Arc and 2 one SL’s...the difference of course is what you’ve heard about the internals more memory and processor and supposedly better connectivity....what you need to know that I bet you don’t....the surrounds and cones On the Gen2 and Gen3 are different...Gen3 has a tad deeper cone driver and the foam or rubber surrounds are not as big as the Gen2....what’s this matter?...Common sense will tell you...the Gen2 sub has a fuller sound due to more flex in the drivers and the Gen3 sub has a less full sound and is tighter...due to less flex in the drivers... I’m still on the fence...back and forth about which one I’ll end up keeping...I’ll do a follow up later after some more listening and demo of more music, tv and movies...

This sub performs well. I had the Sonos mini and exchanged it for this. Honestly, the mini wasn’t too bad. I don’t think this one is twice as good despite being about twice the price. You have to use this, though, to pair to the soundboard, and they know that. So pony up the dough. All in all, though, I don’t regret the purchase. Setup was super easy and it sounds great.

This is a great sounding subwoofer. Stylish too. Pairs well with the soundbar. 4 stars for 3 reasons - Couldn't rate at 4.75 - The premium price tag [I know, that's on me] - It does produce a great sound, and it can make some loose wall art vibrate, but won't pound your chest.
Good with Sonos arc soundbar, but in my first comparison my stereo echo studios with echo sub seem to have a deeper bass. But the Sonos sub was at level zero and can be adjusted in the Sonia app. Looks like two bass radiators facing each other in the center with a port at the bottom of the center cut-out

The Gen 3 sub has the ability to complete your sound experience, matched by none. The bass offers the right touch without overpowering the room. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Sonos did an amazing job! I strongly recommend adding this sub to complete your Sonos experience.

I have researched this product for at least 2-yrs, the sound is amazing. with the new upgraded sound bar and the rear speakers, I am thoroughly enjoying my new system. A little old school, wish they had a remote to adjust the sound/quality instead of using ipad/c-phone....not always avail. Good Product

This sub woofer brings out the best in the Sonos arc, Gave it a 4 star because it scratches easily

Really good sub, a bit pricey but great nonetheless

Overall we've been pretty happy with the addition of this sub. I purchased it as part of our surround sound system in the media room along with a Sonos Arc and a couple of One SL's. Aesthetically, it's a good looking speaker with an interesting design. Setup was pretty easy, but the pairing sensor didn't work quite as well as the Arc or the One SLs. As for the sound quality, it is suitable for the space and consistent with the demo at the store. It's not the most powerful subwoofer nor is it the cheapest, but it ties in well with the rest of the system and we are generally pleased with the purchase.

The Sonos Sub (Gen 3) Wireless Subwoofer is an impressive addition to any audio setup, delivering deep and powerful bass that enhances the movie and sports-watching experience. The setup process is seamless, and the sleek design seamlessly integrates with any decor. However, considering the price point, I had slightly higher expectations for the size and depth of the bass it produces, particularly when listening to music. While it is undoubtedly capable and provides a solid performance, I personally desired a more earth-shaking experience for the cost. That being said, for movies and sports, the Sonos Sub is a standout performer that adds a new dimension to the overall sound quality, and it deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

We've had this in our house for 3 months now and I can honestly say it's a great addition. I've always had a decent surround sound system for movies and TV viewing, but it was time to upgrade my dated Samsung blue ray system. After reading countless reviews, I went all in on a Sonos Beam and a couple of One surround speakers. The system was easy to set up and best of all - NO WIRES! Fast forward 6 months or so, I completed the package with the Sub. However, like others have noted, it isn't exactly a need for your Sonos surround system. The Beam and Ones each sound amazing, but the Sub gives it just a little extra to give you that theater experience. We have ours placed behind the sofa so we can feel the clean, buzz-less rumble as we take in a movie. (It's kind of a shame too, because we're basically hiding a nice looking piece of tech!). The price is a hard to pill to swallow, but if you're intent in going all-in? Toss it in the cart. Just don't look at the receipt or tell the wife how much it cost...

This thing is a monster! Sound quality is top notch, and I feel the bass without it being excessive. Syncing to my Sonos system was extremely easy. Oh yeah - this thing is very slick appearance wise too. Very happy with my purchase. Price is pretty high but you get what you pay for with this!

Awesome room filling base that you feel. I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't for the glassy finish than doesn't match the Sonos Arc or anything else in my home. The way this was designed one would assume it's meant to be seen as well as felt so it should have more options for the finish besides glassy black or white. Another thing with me is the high price. I did return this and the Arc and purchased a Samsung Q600B for a lower price and a little less sound quality. I've tried 4 different soundbars with Dolby Atmos including Bose and Sony in which Sonos Arc has the wider sound stage without rear speakers.

If you are into the sonos ecosystem, then this bass is a much needed addition to the arc. The response and deep bass is by far the best subwoofer I have owned. I am very impressed at how there isnt a delay in sound since the sub is working through wifi connection. The downside to the bass is the insane price and tbe fact that you are being drawn further and further into the sonos ecosystem. The only way to adjust the bass is through the sonos app, which is annoying after awhile. Especially because I can control the soundbar via tv remote, but I have no access to the bass via remote. Overall, great addition to the arc and brings movies and videos to life.

Overall Experience: The Sonos Sub is an absolute game-changer in enhancing your home audio experience. From the moment I integrated it with my existing Sonos system, the difference was night and day. The bass it delivers is intense, rich, and smooth without any distortion, even at high volumes. It fills the room and adds a cinematic feel to movies. Setup/Connection: I just faced some issues while setting it up, as when I put it on the Wi-Fi network, it removed my Arc from the Sonos system. I saw multiple articles on Reddit where people were facing the same problem. It is just that you need to try a few times to get the whole system setup, where your Arc and Sub are connected to your Wi-Fi network. Design: The design is sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into any space, and the build quality is top-notch. If you're already a fan of Sonos or looking to upgrade your home sound system, the Sonos Sub is a must-have addition. Highly Recommended.

Works and sounds great!!! Fills a large family room with the rumble. Easy set up. Looks fantastic. But it's pricey.

This subwoofer works fine, it looks good, and it can generate room thumping bass. It can be moved anywhere in the room where you have an electrical plug, because it connects wirelessly to your TV or other device. We paired it with the Sonos Arc sound bar, which is a superior sound bar. Quite frankly, the Sonos Arc sound bar is so good that I doubt most people will need all of the extra bass generated by this Subwoofer, unless they are watching action movies.

Like the rest of the Sonos products, the subwoofer is hard to match in sound quality. It also looks really cool! I have always hid in my subwoofer in a cabinet. This one looks like a piece of art! The one drawback is you can’t make many adjustments to the sound. My home has attached walls, and I would like to be able to turn down the base some.

This subwoofer adds a whole new level to the Sonos Arc setup. Because the bass is routed to the subwoofer, the Arc actually sounds much better, focusing on the mids and highs while letting the sub handle the lows. The sub has deep, punchy bass and sounds very good. Easy placement, can put it almost anywhere. But, after having this sub for 4 months, I’m still not sure if it’s worth the cost, though there is no denying it makes a huge difference.
