I’ve always used Canon cameras, but this is my first Sony, and I love it — love it! Right out of the box, the camera feels solid and intuitive, and it has a ton of features that are perfect for the kind of work I do (product and candle photography). The image quality is beautiful straight out of camera, and I felt like the price was very reasonable given what you’re getting. The menus were easier to navigate than I expected coming from Canon, and once I dialed in my lighting setup, the results were consistently sharp and clean with minimal tweaking. I’m currently looking into what other lenses I can get next to expand my capabilities — loving the versatility so far. Highly recommend for anyone switching systems or stepping up their photography game!

I love this camera. I upgraded from the Sony a7R III, and honestly, this feels like a completely different experience. My old camera always felt a little glitchy and slow at times, but the a7 IV is smooth, reliable, and just works the way you expect it to. The upgraded menu alone is a game changer. It’s so much more intuitive and easier to navigate, especially when you're working quickly during a shoot. The touchscreen is another huge win, making focusing and menu adjustments way faster and more natural. Yes, the body is slightly larger, but it still feels compact compared to other full-frame cameras in this category, and the ergonomics are noticeably better. It feels solid in your hands without being bulky. What really stands out is how much it has improved my shooting experience overall. From autofocus performance to usability, everything feels faster, smarter, and more dialed in. It’s one of those upgrades that actually makes you enjoy shooting more. If you're coming from an older Sony body or even considering switching systems, this is 100% worth it.

Sony a7 IV Review – A Year In I’ve been using the Sony a7 IV for almost a year now, and I can honestly say it handles just about anything I throw at it. I do both videography and photography professionally, and I love that this camera can manage both with ease. The colors and image quality are always super crisp, no matter the setting. One of my favorite features is the full-size HDMI port. It makes plugging in my external monitor quick and hassle-free, which is huge when I’m working on video shoots. Of course, once you add a lens, especially larger ones, the setup can get heavy after long hours of use. But the results are absolutely worth it. Overall, I really love this camera. It’s been incredibly reliable, and I can tell it’s going to last me a long time. If you’re looking for a hybrid camera that delivers on both photo and video, the a7 IV is a solid choice. If you're looking for a camera that can handle it all this is it.

The best mirrorless camera with lots of features. Best decision I have made to purchase Sony Alpha 7 IV which suffices all purpose of photo and video shoot.

Still a great camera even after newer models like the A7 V released. Relatively small and easy to pack, making it good for those who need extra space in their bag or who want to keep a lower profile during events. Flip out screen and Autofocus are top notch. Only the menu system lets it down. While it is Sony's 2nd version of the menus, it's still not as intuitive as Nikon or Canon (also Fuji, but I have less experience with those). Best part is Sony's relatively open E-Mount format, meaning lots of cheap 3rd party lenses.

A great camera. Perfect for street photography, professional shoots and lots more. Better than the previous model, nearly as good as the newer model. Highly recommend recommended

I have a few Sony and Nikon cameras that I use for personal projects and some editorial assignments that I still do. What can I say except there is really nothing I don’t like about this camera. It’s a winner all around and joined into my workflow without a glitch. Im looking forward to testing all the new features and expect it to be a workhorse. I particularly like the touch screen tracking, just fantastic. FIVE STARS for the a7iv!

This camera feels undeniably premium from the moment you pick it up. The build quality is solid and reassuring, with a finish that looks and feels high-end. The controls and buttons are well-placed, and the menu system is intuitive and easy to navigate even for beginners. Finding settings and making adjustments is quick and hassle-free, which makes shooting more enjoyable and less distracting. One of my favorite features is the adjustable screen. It adds so much convenience when taking photos from tricky angles, whether you’re shooting low to the ground, above a crowd, or capturing selfies. It tilts and rotates smoothly, making framing shots a breeze in almost any situation.

I bought my first of these cameras back when they first came out at the end of 2021 and have used them to shoot weddings ever since. I had two that I had taken around 175k photos each on in ever weather condition and they never faltered. I bought these again because mine were getting up there in use, and there was a sale. I hope they last me another 5 years. I'm not sure how much better the a7v could get for the a7iv price.

Perfect camera for a beginner, the auto mode works really well such teaches you. A lot of people frown on auto mode, however I find that because the auto mode works so well it taught me what ISO/Aperture/shutter speed I should shoot at, such gave me more confidence for shooting in manual that a YouTube video or photography class wouldn’t be able to give me.

I've had the A7iii for 4 years and finally upgraded. This camera is amazing. Shooting 10 bit for video and also a powerhouse for photography. I love the extra dynamic range I am getting. The colors do look better on this camera. Auto focus seems very responsive and all of my lenses have worked flawlessly on it so far. The menu system is updated and takes a while to get used to. Overall, it's a great camera so far. I can't wait to shoot with it more.

The menu is different but has the same info and then some, stil haven't gotten to all of the functionality yet BUT loving it so far, the lock on tracking is soooo much better than my a7riii and the low light capabilities are still amazing. The shutter button feel is a favorite (as silly as that sounds if you get it you know what I mean) I realllllly want the a7v but didn’t want to wait any more as the release keeps getting pushed back. Adding a shot from one of my first sessions with it.

I’ve just recently purchased this item and can’t wait to use it more often. So far I am in love with my purchase! I love how it is mirrorless and allows me to utilize other lenses. The auto focus is superb too!

Ridiculously versatile camera! Easy to customize buttons and menus make adjusting in the fly incredibly easy. Love the versatility of the dual memory card slots even though the one is a less popular type of memory. When paired with the 24-70 2.8 GM I was able to take some of my best photos and videos to date! The firmware update process is a little arduous but not the worst. Battery lasts a good while but I’ve had to swap to a spare on longer shoots.

Amazing quality pictures and videos, we bought it primarily for our business in Realstate, but ended up using it for home and family, very happy with the purchase.

Love the camera. Definitely a phenomenal upgrade from the sony a7iii. Better and quicker autofocus, love the screen being able to swivel which makes a huge difference when holding the camera in different angles.

I was torn between getting a canon or Sony camera body, but I am so happy I went with Sony. This camera body is easy to hold (my hands are very small) and fits perfectly for my everyday walk around town bags.

Best camera to use for both video and pictures. The quality of the video is so cinematic. If you’re going for videography, this is an easy buy. Also for quality photos, this is easily top 3.
