Realistically I would give this a 3.8 as the noise canceling is great and the design and comfort is not too bad but the sound quality is definitely a bitter disappointment as it can olny handle so much bass and hi hats until it start sounding like static. Probably better off getting a cheaper pair of earbuds that have way better sound quality than these

Before you give up on them, we’d love for you to try this: download the Sony | Sound Connect app. Inside the app, look for the 'Equalizer' settings. Try switching between the different presets; sometimes a small tweak there can stop that distortion and make the bass sound much cleaner.

Sound Quality is excellent for the price, touch controls work well enough, though the auto pause gets a little frustrating if you pull out your earbud and continue to hold it in your hand during a conversation or something. Most others are like that too, though. Case feels of medium quality, headphones stay in, comfortable enough. I wear them 8+hrs a day, most days.

Got these on sale because I liked the transparent look. Fantastic, great sound quality, I love the options to be able to block out sound or temporarily "dim" music to hear what's around you without removing them, and the clear blue plastic reminds me of the 2000s. Only issue I've had is playing music from the game Umamusume, but only on Spotify, the other 99% of the time, no issues.

These Sony WF-710 earbuds were an upgrade from my Sony WF-700s. The WF-700s had great sound and fit, but they had one fatal flaw: a big physical button that I would accidentally press every time I adjusted the earbud during a Teams call — instantly hanging up on everyone. Imagine it's 1400 (2 PM) and you haven't had lunch because you've been in meetings all morning and you get that little itch in your ear. You try to ignore, but it's there and it's not leaving. You carefully grab your earbud for a little twistaroo to mitigate that freaking itch and.....BOOM!!!! You just hung up on everyone. It happened so often that my coworkers and clients started calling it "ROBERTing" yourself. If I disappeared and reappeared on a call, they'd ask, "Did you ROBERT yourself again?" I endeavored to persevere and I'm happy to report the WF-710s do not have a ROBERT button — and that alone makes them a huge win for me. What I like (in order of importance for my use): No ROBERT button — Thank you, Sony. This design change is a massive improvement. Comfort — With the right ear tip size, these are extremely comfortable. They're lightweight, cause no ear hotspots, and I often forget they're even in. I spend most of my day in Microsoft Teams meetings (5.5–6+ hours), and I usually use just one earbud at a time to stretch battery life. Even with noise cancellation on and being connected all day, a single earbud easily lasts through my heaviest meeting days. Sound quality — Very good for my needs. I mostly use them for Teams calls and talk-centric YouTube videos, but they also handle music well across my genres (Johnny Cash to AC/DC, classical, electronic, etc.). No complaints for work-focused use. Pairing — Super fast and reliable on my Windows 11 laptop. They paired in under 30 seconds even with my old WF-700s still paired (but not connected). No issues at all. A few minor negatives: The left earbud occasionally switches from Noise Cancellation to Transparency mode on its own after a meeting ends (sounds like light wind). It only happens when the earbud stays in after a call, never during one. Cycling through the modes fixes it. The right earbud doesn't do this. It's annoying but not a dealbreaker. On very rare occasions (about 1 in 30 calls), the other person says they can't hear me well when using just one earbud. Simply inserting the second earbud fixes it immediately. Battery level voice announcement is missing on Windows (I had this on the WF-700s). Now I have to check Bluetooth settings instead. This seems to be a Windows limitation rather than a Sony issue. Overall, these are a solid upgrade for heavy Teams users on Windows. The removal of that cursed button alone makes them worth it for me. I definitely recommend these earbuds. I've had my WF-700's for about 3 years and I actually bought these because I thought they were bravo delta. Turns out Windows 11 was just being Windows 11 and after pairing on my personal laptop and then re-pairing to my work laptop, they worked. By then I already purchased the 710s and decided to keep them. BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE A ROBERT BUTTON!!!!!! :-) My name is Robert the Texan and I approve these earbuds.

I picked up a pair of Sony earphones for work, and they’ve been an absolute game-changer for my daily routine. Great sound. The have two nice noise cancellation settings that make it easy to tune in, or tune out. Size is good, it fits in my pocket or bag easily. Would buy these again.

Really wanted to love these. Have had a pair of over the ear headphones from Sony, which I loved. The sound is good, the noise cancelling is good. But there is a serious issue with battery drain in the case. Last night I charged the case to full and didn't use the headphones. This morning the case had 70% charge. This is happening over and over. Battery life, probably because of this, is pretty bad. Wish I had returned these when I could.

Great wireless earbuds at a proce that wont break the bank. Connecting them was easy, they have great sound, they have a very comfortable fit and come in awesome colors. For the price its definitely a 5/5.

Sony—WF-C710N Truly Wireless Noise-Canceling Earbuds—“WF-C710N Wireless Noise-Canceling Earbuds are the ultimate everyday audio essential, with optimal noise cancellation, a longer battery life, and better sound quality.” I have tested and used many different headphones and earbuds, from the low to the high, and the Sony WF-C710N, which is built on the success of the WF-C700Ns, performs as well as those at the top of the price range for a budget price. They’re some of the most awesome-sounding buds out there, and yes, they have active noise-canceling (ANC) technology that works. Plus, you can turn the ANC on or off as you wish. Pros • Extremely comfortable • Highly effective ANC • Customizable • Great Equalizer settings • Fantastic bass response • Consistent sound across genres • Up to 33.5 hours of battery life, 40 hours with ANC turned off • Hook to two Bluetooth devices at once • Can use one or two buds as you desire Cons • No LDAC or aptX The user-friendly software (companion app) gives you the ultimate control of the in-ear style earbuds, allowing you to customize the EQ or remap the earbud touch buttons. The buds fit snugly in your ear canal and you have optional Hybrid silicone rubber earbud tips for the best fit possible. I was never afraid that I would have them drop out, no matter the activity. IPX4 rated, which means they’re resistant to water. You can wear them while working out, as they’re sweatproof. These are some of the most comfortable earbuds I have used. Another feature that I really like is wear detection. Playback automatically pauses when a bud is removed and then resumes when it’s put back in. I found that it works smoothly. Put one of the buds in the case, which acts as a recharger, and you can still use one bud for those times that this is appropriate for your use. Talk about a plus. ANC does a great job. I used them while the yard guys were using their leaf blowers, and the buds kept the noise level to an acceptable level. Sony included a Wind Noise Reduction design, which reduces the sound of wind buffeting. You can switch to Ambient mode to be aware of your surroundings — handy if you’re working out or running outdoors. Additionally, the Sound Connect app allows you to adjust the ambient sound in 20 levels, allowing for a good selection based on your situation. You also get a Transparency mode, which allows you to have conversations with people without having to remove the earbuds. The EQ works well, and I am a bass man, so I appreciated the bass boosted setting on the EQ, which did an excellent job. You have some broad selections and a couple of settings for maintaining some custom setups. Music, movies, phone conversations, and usefulness in noisy environments make these buds my new favorites. I tested the earbuds by listening to a range of genres — rock, indie, dance/pop, etc. They all sounded phenomenal, with fantastic bass response and crystal clear vocals. The bass sounded powerful but never overpowering. You can fully remap the touch panel buttons on the buds with the APP and this worked cleanly. Most APPS are a pain and not user-friendly, so you wonder why you installed them. But I like the Sony APP. It leads to me using a lot of customization and testing of different settings on the fly to improve my enjoyment of various listening experiences.
