The most common actions, such as pausing, switching tracks, changing the volume, and noise cancellation mode, are very awkward to perform with these headphones. You have to train yourself like a telegraph operator using Morse code. In addition, the sensor is very sensitive, which causes a lot of false positives. The only plus is the good sound quality.

Had these for 5 months. If you are looking for a constant and unending source of frustration......these are the earbuds for you. You have to constantly reset them due to one earbud not charging, not connecting properly, the case not charging. You are forced to download an app just to use the earbuds. The earbuds will not work, without the app. The battery doesn't last very long. It's not worth the 1 thing that does work well....which is the noise cancelling. It's very effective I promise, but for 90+ to 129+ bucks.....don't bother wasting your money like I did. My one earbud says 10% while the other earbud and case is at 100%. I take care of my things. I'm convinced that made it this trash so youd have to buy another and another. EW

They did not have the color I wanted in store so I paid and they said they would ship. The box came untampered with and totally empty. I sent in a complaint and their legal team wrote back saying "we will not refund talk to your law enforcement." I tried several calls and then went into the store: nothing. I will never, ever buy at Best Buy again. Never. I am sure they won't even post this.

Personally not for me the case quality is very poor and there not exactly bluetooth either you have to use a very laggy app to connect them every time its very annoying and the noise cancellation was pretty much not even noticeable I returned them and bought some Beats Studio Buds there only 10$ more but there case quality is better noise cancellation is better and they connect to your iPhone like AirPods do even pops up the connection screen when you open the case nearby.

Hi REBECCAR,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are truly sorry to hear that you are experiencing unstable and patchy Bluetooth connection issues with your WF-C710N headphones.
We want to help resolve this so you can enjoy uninterrupted audio. We recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps to help stabilize your wireless connection:
1- Restart the Headset: Place both headset units back into the charging, then press and hold the reset button on the back of the charging case for about 20 seconds or more. The indicator on the charging case turns off and the headset will be reset.
2- Update the Software: Ensure your headphones are running the latest firmware version. You can check for updates by downloading the Sony Sound Connect app on your smartphone, connecting your headphones, and following any on-screen prompts for available software updates. Keeping the software current resolves known bugs and improves connectivity.
3- Set to Priority on Stable Connection: Open the Sony Sound Connect app, navigate to the sound settings, and switch the Bluetooth Connection Quality from "Priority on Sound Quality" to "Priority on Stable Connection." This adjusts the audio streaming codec to heavily reduce drops and interference, especially in crowded wireless environments.
If you have tried these steps and the connection remains patchy, our best recommendation is to reach out directly to our dedicated technical support team for further assistance at: https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones

Noise cancelling is great. Ear buds fall out of ears. After a few months earbuds will stay charged
Posted
Hi Mouse,
We are sorry to hear about the fitment issues and the charging difficulties you're experiencing with your earbuds. To resolve the charging and fitment concerns, please try the following:
Clean the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case using a soft, dry cloth or a cotton swab with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to ensure a secure connection.
Reset the earbuds by placing them in the case and following the specific button-hold sequence outlined in the manual to recalibrate the battery software.
Switch to a different ear tip size included in the box; a more secure seal will prevent the buds from falling out and improve noise cancellation.

Very difficult to connect to two devices. You have to have the app on your phone and then when I tried to switch between phone and ipad one ear bud would play the ipad and one earbud would play the phone, no matter what I did! Sound quality was just ok, but ease of use was terrible. I returned this item.

They are ok, will be returning them. They keep switching between ambient and noise canceling on their own. Will not buy this brand again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Rollsroyce.
We are truly sorry to hear about the persistent and frustrating issue you are experiencing with your WF-C710N earbuds, specifically the unwanted and automatic switching between the Noise Canceling and Ambient Sound modes. We understand how disruptive this is to your listening experience, and we sincerely apologize that this flaw has led to your decision to return the product.
This kind of behavior is often caused by the Adaptive Sound Control feature being active in the Sony | Sound Connect app. When this setting is turned On, the earbuds automatically try to detect your activity (like walking or staying still) and switch the listening mode accordingly.
We would like to help you resolve this so you can enjoy the quality sound without interruption, even if you still plan to return them. To prevent the unwanted switching:
Disable Adaptive Sound Control: Open the Sony | Sound Connect app, go to the Adaptive Sound Control settings, and set it to Off.
Manual Setting: Manually set your preferred mode (Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound) within the app.
We regret that this experience has led you to lose trust in our brand, but we value your honest feedback as it is critical for us to improve the user experience and quality of our products.
Best regards, Gus, Sony Social Media Team

These buds are hard to pair. You need Sony’s app to pair and make adjustments. Battery life is not close to what is advertised and the ANC is barely effective. I used them with IPhone 15 pro. They are now sitting in a desk drawer.
Posted
Hi RBAL,
We're genuinely sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the WF-C710N earbuds, especially the difficulties with pairing, the shorter-than-advertised battery life, and the less effective ANC when used with your iPhone 15 Pro. We understand how disappointing it is when a product doesn't meet expectations.
To address these issues, we recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps: first, a simple reset of the earbuds, the instructions are listed in the link below:
https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2986/v1/en/contents/TP1001829718.html
Also, ensure your earbuds' software is up to date via the Sony | Headphones Connect app; and if issues persist, perform an initialization to restore factory settings. If you don't know how to do it, you can find the details here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2986/v1/en/contents/TP1001829717.html
The factory reset often resolves connectivity glitches. We truly appreciate your feedback as we continuously strive to improve our products and user experience.
Thanks for considering Sony.

There’s an echo and the sound is very weak you get what you pay for.
Posted
Hi Issy25,
Thanks for the feedback and for the review. We are truly sorry to hear that you’re dealing with an echo and low volume on your WF-C710N.
To help fix these issues, here are a few simple things you can try:
-If the earbuds don't fit snugly in your ear canal, the sound can often feel thin or "weak." We recommend trying out the different sizes of earbud tips included in the box. A better seal usually brings back the bass and volume.
-If you hear an echo (especially during calls or while walking), it might be the Ambient Sound Mode or Adaptive Sound Control in the Sony | Sound Connect app. Try turning these off or lowering the level to see if the echo disappears.
-Reset the earbuds. For detailed instructions, please refer to the following resource.
https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2986/v1/en/contents/TP1001829718.html

To get you back to your music as quickly as possible, please try these refined troubleshooting steps:
Power Check: Ensure the case is connected to a known working power source using the original Sony USB-C cable.
Clean the Contacts: Use a soft, dry cloth (or a cotton swab) to gently clean the small charging contacts on both the earbuds and inside the case. Even invisible oils can disrupt the connection.
