Questions & Answers
im from wisconsin what if the temp outside get -20 degrees outside does it stop working and it is wrecked??
Answered by SwannThank you for your question, Bobby. The operating temperature for the unit is 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C). If temperatures drop to -20°F, that is below the recommended operating range. In those conditions, the doorbell may temporarily stop working or experience reduced performance (such as battery drain or delayed response). However, brief exposure to temperatures below the range does not typically cause permanent damage. Once temperatures rise back within the supported range, normal operation usually resumes. For very cold climates, installing the unit in a slightly sheltered area can help improve performance during extreme winter weather. Mary - Swann Team.
Does the unit work on an existing (prewired) chime if its hardwired?
Answered by SwannJust to clarify, are you referring to the doorbell or the chime? If you're referring to the doorbell being hardwired: Yes, it will work as long as the existing power supply provides a standard 12 to 24VAC.
Does this doorbell works with the existing house chime ?
Answered by SwannThank you for your question. It depends on the model of your current chime. If you have the SOIFI-BUDDYCHM, then yes, this doorbell is compatible with that chime. Mary – Swann Team
Why does it catches cars on main road but not in my driveway
Answered by SwannHi Jim. Thank you for reaching out. This can be caused by incorrect camera positioning or motion detection settings that need adjustment. The camera may be detecting stronger or more visible movement on the main road while missing activity in your driveway. Kindly reach out to our support team so they can help you properly configure and optimize your motion detection settings. Mary, Swann Team
