Expand Your Photo Experience With The Advanced TAMRON 17-70mm F2.8 VC For APS-C MirrorlessThe Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (model B070) is a fast standard zoom lens designed for Nikon mirrorless APS-C system cameras (a full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm), and is the world's first fast-aperture F2.8 standard zoom lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras to achieve a 4.1x zoom ratio. It strikes an ideal balance between a large zoom range and high image quality. Equipped with TAMRON's VC image stabilizer, it offers the shortest focusing distances of 7.5" (19cm) at wide angle and 15.4" (39.12cm) at telephoto, allowing for impressive close-ups with soft background blur. Perfect for portraits, landscapes, or snapshots, this lens captures life's most beautiful moments in stunning detail.Fast F2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom rangeThe 17-70mm F2.8 maintains its fast maximum aperture throughout the entire zoom range (unlike variable aperture lenses where the maximum aperture changes as you zoom). Thanks to the F2.8 and high optical performance, the 17-70mm F2.8 allows you to capture your subjects with clear details from wide-angle to telephoto. The three main advantages of a fast F2.8 aperture are the ability to shoot successfully in lower light levels; beautiful and dreamy bokeh; and better control of depth-of-field, which is particularly useful when intentionally limiting depth-of-field to improve portraits by blurring the area behind the main subject.Remarkable Image Quality Edge To EdgeStructurally, the optical formula includes 16 elements in 12 groups. It was created in pursuit of superior optical performance, utilizing an effective allocation of two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements and one aspherical hybrid lens element. The optical design ensures high resolution and high contrast not just in the center of the image but also in corners and at the edges.Your Key To Beautiful, Brilliant Video ShootingThe 17-70mm F2.8 is a standard zoom lens that's ideal for not only still photography but also for video shooting. The 17-70mm F2.8 has minimal focus breathing, an undesirable phenomenon in which the angle of view changes depending on the focusing distance during videography. By counteracting focus breathing, the 17-70mm F2.8 empowers users' expression of their creative intentions to the fullest degree. In addition, the quiet RXD AF drive motor and the VC image stabilization mechanism facilitate hand-held video shooting.TAMRON's Proprietary VC For Stable Photography And Video ShootingThe 17-70mm F2.8 utilizes TAMRON's highly regarded VC image stabilization system to maximize the inherent optical performance of the lens. It reduces the degradation of picture quality caused by minute camera shake that is likely to occur during hand-held shooting at slow shutter speeds under low-light conditions indoors or at dusk. When shooting video, image stabilization leveraging AI technology will automatically perform the best compensation for different shooting situations.MOD of 7.5" (19cm) For Amazing Close-UpsThis advanced lens focuses extremely close for a standard zoom lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The MOD is just 7.5" (19cm) at the wide-angle end and 15.4" (39.12cm) at the telephoto end. When shooting very close to the subject, the lens enables expressive imagery with highly blurred backgrounds, a feature unique to fast-aperture lenses. This allows you to create one-of-a-kind photos of a variety of subjects, from snapshots to portraits, landscapes, and even architectural photography. Close-up shots of your main subjects taken at the 17mm end maximize the unique perspective only true wide-angle lenses can deliver.High Performance Autofocus System Means You'll Own Every Shooting OpportunityThe AF drive on the 17-70mm F2.8 includes an RXD motor unit to help you stay focused on the action. RXD uses an actuator to precisely control the rotational angle of the motor, allowing it to directly drive the focusing lens without passing through a reduction gear. A sensor that precisely detects the position of the lens enables high-speed and accurate AF, which is ideal when shooting continually moving subjects or recording video. And with a focusing system that is both smooth and quiet, the 17-70mm F2.8 lets you shoot free from stress not worrying about the drive sound in a quiet environment.
