This Zelda game has a different vibe than what we're used to. It's not my favorite, but I still had fun playing it. The storyline and platform are something worth checking out. I like how they took a different approach this time around. I will say the art style is really cute. This zelda game seems a lot easier than most. I think most people will enjoy this game. It's a fun addition to the zelda series.

Legend of Zelda: Exhoes of Wisdom looks like any other Zelda game in the series, yet stands on it's own with main function which os finally, you gwt to play her majest, Princess Zelda. She teams up with Tri, who is the first companion in a Zelda game we have seen since before Breath of Th Wild. Making echoes with Tri can take a little time to adjust to. Most games, you'll want to go figh characters head on, but in this game you have to be bit mor strategic. You'll find yourself evading many enemies which adds a bit of difficult to the beginning. It can be tedius at times but the number of echoes is very impressive. These echoes make for somw great problem solving. The puzzles can sometimes stop you in your yracks and make you have to think hard about all your abilities and what you're abke to do. Echoes of Wisdom does a good job of feeling like a Zelda game in the post Breath of the Wold Zelda landscape. The menu system will look very familiar to people who have player BotW and TotK. The graphical style is the same cute toy like esthetic from Links Awakening which I have alsways thought was a good look for the series. The game will suffer from frame rate hiccups like Awakening, but not nearly as bad. I got the game, day 1 and the hiccups initially were starting to bother me, but since then there has several updates and the hiccups are barely noticeable now. The Story has a similar vibe to a lot of Zeldas ie: Link to the Past and Twilight Princess. Where there is some alternative world to explore, but this one changes it up a little bit. There are Rifts scattered through out Hyrule that you will often have to find a entrance to and then go inside and find some of Tri's friends. This part of the game makes Zelda feel like a platformer at times as you will use many of your eschoes to reach spots that you can't just jump to. The Dungeons are back and the themes are strong in them unlike BotW and TotK. It feels like a very good return to form for thr series. The Temples are much more then what TotK were like too. More then just going along a collecting 5 items to unlock the boss. This is the longest review I have ever written, but overall I had a really good time playing this game. There is a lot of great characters and good story arcs with each area you go to. Lastly, the music is very good. The main theme is nice, but once you get into Gerudo Desert or Jabul Waters, you'll find yourself humming it later on when you're making dinner or doing laundry. Definitely don't skip out on this one!

Some people are quick to write this game off because you play as Zelda not Link and I think thats a mistake. The puzzles are fun and combat can be approached in so many ways. I had a lot of fun and found myself really enjoying the time I spent playing it after enough. Its no OOT or Wind Waker but it stands up as a good entry into the series.

Great puzzles, cute artwork, creative and engaging gameplay. And you actually play as Zelda and not Zelda’s monster.

This is one of those rare gems that's comes around every now and then. I'm this game the player is put into the role of Princess Zelda, who is swiftly saved by Link from Ganon and finds himself sucked into a mysterious void. Your task is to find the source of the voids that have appeared around Hyrule and to find Link. Zelda herself is not suited for combat so she is equipped with an item that allows her to create illusions of enemies and various objects called echoes. These can fight in her place. Early on, you will come across an item that allows Zelda to temporarily become a sword fighter which can be used as a last resort in fighting tougher creatures. This game is very charming and I found myself liking it a bit more than I'd expected. For fans of this franchise it's a nice return to the old-school Zelda feel with puzzle box dungeons and a story that takes you around the world. Highly recommend playing!

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a nice change of pace from the traditional formula we’ve seen from 2D Zelda games since their inception. While the combat is clunky and Zelda has limited attack options, playing as her is a welcome addition. The game combines the multiple-solutions of puzzle solving found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom via the echoes. For the first time in a 2D Zelda game, I was no longer bound to a walkthrough. I was able to complete the majority of the dungeons and puzzles on my own without the use of a guide, which was a gratifying feeling. Swapping between echoes for solving puzzles was annoying however, as the UI is just a never ending straight line. It would’ve been nice if they pulled from Super Mario Maker 2 and had multiple wheels to divide the Echoes based on particular categories. Besides the Exhoes, the gameplay is still incredible, with surprisingly mature characters and emotional storylines. This is a nice swan song for the Switch 1 in 2024, alongside Mario and Luigi Brothership. If you want just 1 more first-party Nintendo title before the next console, pick this up.

This game feels like a refreshing take on the Zelda series. Playing as Zelda adds something new while keeping that classic charm the franchise is known for. The art style is beautiful, gameplay is fun and relaxing, and it’s easy to pick up and enjoy. Definitely a great addition to any Zelda fan’s collection.

Still haven’t finished the game yet. I love the art style (polarizing topic apparently). Sometimes the original switch lags and the frame rate gets weird. Nintendo could have made the conjuring of items/ monsters a bit more streamlined. Otherwise no complaints. Still getting through the story.

Getting the bad out first. Pre-order bonus was missing as is the only complaint I've seen anyone else have. I spoke to an agent named Roger a few days ago who told me that Best Buy would still be honoring some of the pre-order bonuses and that I would have to check my app over the next few days (of speaking to them) to watch for the acrylic stand to be shipped to me. Still no change as of yet. Now to the game itself. Echoes of Wisdom has a gorgeous world with a very pleasing soundtrack as well. The characters are memorable and the game contains a multitude of mission style callbacks and easter eggs to discover from other series favorites. The ability to find different solutions to certain challenges is incredibly fun and I'm always testing out different combinations for combat and exploration. Nintendo managed to capture the feel of Tears of The Kingdoms player driven creativity in a more traditional style game and it plays incredibly well. A few frame rate issues that most reviews online will address but it is a phenomenal game.

I have grown up on traditional Zelda games. Was looking forward to a game where you play as Zelda as opposed to Link. Game did not dissapoint, mechanics were easy to pick up and the game was a lot of fun.

I am a huge Zelda fan, and I was so excited for this game! It has been years since the release of a top-down Zelda, and this one adds some of the freedom that we’ve come to enjoy in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. This Zelda title is much more linear, simple, and on the easier side, but it takes an approach that we haven’t seen before. Take control of Zelda herself and make copies of things in the world, including enemies to fight for you. The story is very interesting and it is very accessible for long time fans and newcomers alike.

This game is a great time. Where puzzle and problem solving takes priority over combat, Echoes of Wisdom is a creative spin in the Zelda series. It somehow feels like a classic Legend of Zelda game yet is fresh and new. Playing as Zelda is something fans have wanted for a long time. Definitely worth picking up.

This game was a delight! Definitely recommend, despite some flaws. Pros: beautiful graphics, wealth of options to solve each puzzle (which are creative), interesting story, excellent music and good pacing. Cons: framerate hitches can be distracting for many, but this (and the heavy tilt shift blur at the top) aren't present on the Switch 2. Also, "death by menu' is real- there are an enormous amount of items, but a single line from which to choose. Even with sorting options, it takes a good while to find items at times, which can really take you out of the flow of battle. Would definitely recommend, the pros heavily outweigh the cons.

I own every Zelda game in the major consoles and thought my wife would enjoy it. After she played, she encouraged me to try for myself. This game offers a great story, many thought provoking puzzles to think through, and more than enough side quests that are entertaining for when you want a break from the story line. There are tributes to several pay Zelda games with many new game play options to try. This game could be played many times and never would need to be the same experience to move through the game. My wife and I really love it!

I can't say enough about this title that it warms my heart that it stays true to how the original NES Legend of Zelda played but brought to life in an over head birds eye view but in 3D style to bring it into the modern realm. Awesome title, highly recommend!

Absolutely the best Zelda game I've ever played. My favorites are the top-down Zelda games like Link's Awakening and others. I wasn't a huge fan of Breath of the Wild since that's not my style, and I didn't enjoy all the recipe-making, lol. In this one, you can make slurpees, but it's not as important. The mechanics of echoing items to navigate and fight enemies are fantastic, so much fun and full of puzzles. It's enjoyable for adults, and kids will have to think and use their brains too.

This was a fun way to finally get a game with a little more of Zelda’s perspective and to see her take charge more in the hero’s role, eventually with Link’s help. A great game for kids especially with the art style and functionality! A new, but classic Zelda game.
