Q: Can you use this for an outside porch light (inside a lantern)?
A: yes.. we currently do use this bulb in an exterior wall lantern..
A: Each bulb must be added to your network individually via the Kasa app. Once added, you can create groups that allow you to control multiple bulbs simultaneously. Regards, TP-Link Support
A: Yes, the bulb does need power at all times. I discovered this when the regular light switch was flipped off, and the bulb would not longer respond to the app until the switch was flipped back on. As for your second, no, it doesn't need reprogrammed after power loss, I've switched the bulb from on room to another without issue. Once it's in your app, it's there.
Q: How many voltz is the TP-Link - Kasa A19 Wi-Fi Smart LED Light Bulb - White? Thanks
A: The voltage it accepts is 120 volts however you can adjust the brightness of the bulb from 0% to 100% if you want to monitor your power consumption. You can also adjust the color temp from 2700k warm color to 5000k true white and see a graph on the TP-Link Kasa App that shows you how long you have had the light on for and how much power you used in kilowatts. It's an excellent product! But be aware that it runs under wifi and you may require a wifi extender should your bulb be far from the wifi router. I had to do that in my home.
