My computers normal wifi gets 200 Mbps and I decided to try this out. Everything was set up like the manual said and still somehow it dropped my speed down to 30 Mbps. Pathetic...

I wish I would’ve listened to the low reviews on this. The cables that were provided in the box were no good whatsoever. On my wifi, I was getting download speeds of 90-95. Once I installed these, it lowered to 9-10 gb. I used other LAN cables I had but it did not help. I recently bought Cat8 LAN cables and it only went up to 25-30 gb. Regret buying this and wouldn’t recommend others do so.

You have to have this extender on the same outlet so it has to be inline with the router will not work for me

This worked amazing at first. Helped me out my desk where I wanted it without having the Ethernet cord dragged halfway around the house. It reaches really far but after a week it stopped working and the middle light would not come back on. Instructions said it mean bad signal try a wall outlet and I tried four different ones and it no longer will pair. My brothers works fine though mine went to crap in a week

Yes, for Powerline adapters that utilize the first generation of the HomePlug AV standard, they should be plugged into outlets directly, and for best results, the outlets should be on the same breaker. If you would like to traverse multiple breakers, but remain on the same main circuit panel, we suggest considering one of our Powerline products that use the new HomePlug AV2 standard instead, such as our TL-PA7010 Kit.
