I had problems loading up the driver where it wouldn't see the device and it took several attempts for the driver to finally see the unit. I had bad delays and the games were not playing smoothly till I found that the games played excellent on the 2.4ghz signal. Than the 5ghz works really well for everything else, video stream, surfing the net,etc. So you need to create two networks anyway for 2.4ghz device & 5ghz device so thats the secret getting this to work properly.

I bought this to enable wireless in my home so I am able to get TV channels for free through the internet. I have now canceled my cable service as this did the trick.

I purchased this to get the most speed from my new AC wifi router and this device does an excellent job. I see a significant increase in speed when using this adapter compared to the internal wifi adapter in my Asus laptop. Kudos!!

I was very skeptical at first....but this bumped up my WiFi speed from 40megs to 190 megs AR wireless ac 5 ghz....very happy that I don't have tone replace my whole system just to get wireless AC

Super quick and easy setup. Works flawlessly on my girlfriend's gaming PC. Very inexpensive compared to other products in the same class.

Works great but is so big it takes up 2 of my usb slots. not very efficient. there are smaller ones out there to get 5Ghz signal

Adapter,used with T-M0bile phone, helped to eliminate an $89/mo. Verizon bill. this adapter is fast, very efficient and only about 1" x 4" I am very pleased with the ease of setup and quick response, using Wi Fi network to access the T-Mobile network. This unit, together with phone hotspot, eliminate a large FIOS router, entirely.

Needed an extender for the desktop downstairs in my home. Easy to setup and has been working great for almost one month.

Twice so far (in the less than a month I've had it) I have found myself with no network connectivity. I open the TP Link program to discover it has forgotten my network. So I have to reconnect and enter my WPA key. I'm using Windows 7 and seem to be restricted to using the TP Link program to manage the wireless connections instead of Windows itself. But for what I paid I guess it works ok.

Very useful product. Have not experienced any lag or interruption.

Coverage is great when it works but continually goes offline when on 5g and I have to unplug and replug adapter to work.

This device is a little cumbersome but it works perfect. My internet speed is much better.

I had the linksys wusb6300 and it didn't work as well as this did. This unit was far more reliable and signal was very strong. also price was cheaper.

This is a review of a free product received by TP-LINK as part of the review program. The TP-Link T4U offers impressive speeds and signal strength compared to the wireless N adapter it replaced. It is USB 3.0 for maximum speed and offers both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The install was quick and painless in Windows 10. I simply plugged it in and the driver was installed by Windows. The signal strength with my old adapter was a bit sketchy at times but the T4U appears to operate at full strength all the time. Large file transfers are bearable now and I no longer feel like I should be plugging into my router. The adapter comes with a USB 3.0 extension cable, but I wish the cable had a built-in.

I wanted to test the speed of my connection....with my inbuilt NIC I was getting 50Meg, with this I instantly I got 110Meg on 2.4Ghz and 170 on 5Ghz....super happy about this purchase...going to order another one for my work laptop P.S. - install driver online @ Windows 10

I have been using it for over a month now but the problem has been since the beginning.Drops connection all the time. Once connection drops I need to disable the device connection and enable it again. I ignored the review from "holygeek04" and bought it,thinking he got a defected device but now that I have the same problem with my device I guess that's the quality of TPlink. Very disappointed.

This is a review of a free product received by TP-LINK as part of the review program. This adapter has helped me cut the cord on my desktop PC. I am now not limited to having the PC in a specific room due to it not having wireless connectivity. I like the fact that it contains both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz with amazingly fast speed. This is a must have for someone who wants to cut the cord on their desktop PC that is not equipped with WiFi.

Drops connection daily. Once connection is drops device becomes disabled and must be unplugged, computer restarted and then plugged back in. Trying to get it replaced atm.
