i have this speaker for less than a year and it doesn’t hold a charge, i will have it plugged in all night and the light by the charger still blinks i check the app and it says full charge but when i start it up with in 30m it’s screaming critical battery. i spent a lot of money on this speaker for it to suck. it volume is great but it doesn’t help when it’s shouting low batter or critical battery every 15 seconds. i’m over it im not even going to sell it because it’s not worth it at all, even when it’s plugged in you will be listening to music for a good 15-30m before it yells at you and this is still after charging it all night. don’t waste your time. extra info : i have no idea if metal interferes with anything in the speaker but not great for a welding shops.

This product worked great! My son loved it and the sound was great too. However, after 4 and a half months, the speaker won't charge. It is plugged in and there is no indication of it being charged. The speaker won't turn on either. Rather disappointing.

These sound fine, but I should have tried out the Megaboom 3, not just Boom 3. They look great, and I love the simplicity of the design, but that's where the fun stops. * PartyUP Mode is TERRIBLE. I bought two of the same style Boom 3 speakers. Every time I try to pair them in PartyUp mode so multiple speakers are synced, something goes wrong. Sticky mode fails, so everything they advertise about being able to set them to always pair together automatically is just a lie. * Every time I try to make them both play, after pairing and turning on, one or more of the following happens: - The app says I need to turn on one of the speakers. It's already on. - The app says I need to pair one of them. It's already paired. - The app says one of the speakers is set to private. Both are set to public. - The app only shows one speaker is available - I have to go to PartyUp mode each time and drag a speaker from the app shelf to the dual speaker mode manually. Most of the time, it doesn't even recognize another speaker (despite being paired by bluetooth and recognized by the phone itself) and the rest of the time, it just loads and loads, only to fail and just play on one speaker. I might return them and deal with the hassle of Best Buy returns and crediting of my rewards credit, then try getting 2 MegaBooms. I might also just give up and buy one Bose Revolve since I already have one of those and Bose probably knows how to pair dual speakers better than Logitech.

Not a good speaker. Bass doesn’t hit hard, also treble on it sucks. I returned it and got the JBL instead for $30 cheaper and it’s a world of difference. I work in a quiet construction warehouse and you couldn’t hear it 40 feet away unlike the JBL. If i were you, refrain from buying this speaker. Also the battery life does not last as advertised. Within about an hour at low to mid volume, it already needed to be charged.

I had bought this speaker because it had an advertised battery life of about 16 hours which was great ans because I liked the color a lot but when I used it a couple times it only lasted for about 2 hours till it said “Critical Battery Please Charge” I would charge it till it was full and it did the same…so I stuck with my old JBL Charge 3 that still rocks, I just wanted something new.

So i am the type of person that doesn’t really listen to negative reviews but GF and I went to a country concert and played the speaker in the parking lot on full volume and it died after like 3 hours. The sun after an hour kept making it shut off. Put it in my ice cooler at 56% and after 20 mins was at 4%. Returning it tomorrow. If i cant use this speaker during summer months why have it.....

I bought 5 of these speakers for my office (1 in each room). I was hoping to link them with the app and sync them together for a seamless experience from front to back. Within a few weeks they started to malfunction. They would get very staticky, and would drop different speakers off the network. I called Logitech customer service multiple times and was given the same story ( just do a firmware update and they will be fine, or update the app on your phone. after multiple hours on the phone and multiple emails back and forth they quit responding to my request. Do not buy these!!!

Speaker would not charge, even after trying multiple charging cables. I found many negative reviews about this exact issue on several websites when trying to troubleshoot the charging issue. I also emailed Ultimate Ears support about the issue with no response back from them. Instructions that were included are vague and not helpful. Also there is no USB charger included with the speaker, only a USB cable. Don't waste your time or money with this product.

Hello, Very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Ultimate Ears Boom 3 and the charging issue you've experienced. This may be because you haven't updated the firmware when you initially got the speaker. To do this, download the Ultimate Ears Boom app which is available on Apple App Store and Google Playstore. And in terms of a USB brick to plug into the wall, you should be able to use any powered USB port to charge your speaker---the brick isn't necessary. Here is a link to the support page for the Boom 3 that should answer any more questions or help you troubleshoot any other issues: https://www.ultimateears.com/en-us/wireless-speakers/boom-3.html#support. Hope that you found this helpful and that this has resolved your issue. Thank you for choosing Ultimate Ears. - Richard from Ultimate Ears/Logitech

I purchased this in May 2020. I completed the software update on the app about 2 weeks ago and the speaker now does not work. It won't show up on blue tooth, it won't factory reset by holding volume down and power. There is no aux input so the speaker is basically useless. $200 down the drain. Be careful.

This speaker will not pair unless you factory reset it, and even then will only pair with one device. I've owned previous UE Boom speakers and never had this problem. I will be returning it to you.,

I bought this as a gift for my father. He loved the look and how easy it was to use and pair to his phone. However, the battery life isn’t what the packaging said. It would play music for about an hour or two and then needed to be charged. I was still able to exchange the item for another one and I got the same exact one for a second one and the same thing happened. Unfortunately I will not be giving it a third try it is such an inconvenience to keep having to go to the store for the same thing.

I had one Boom 3 and wanted another to use the Party Up feature which allows the use of multiple speakers. I have rarely been more disappointed with a product. The Party Up is a pain to set up and keep working. Pushing the +- buttons to get the % of battery charge doesn't work. UE/Logitech support says the firmware doesn't support it and it may be in a future firmware update. Never mind that the brochures tell you to use that 'feature.' The firmware version of my older Boom 3 is v1.4.38. The version of my newer one is v1.0.15. Asking why the difference and why the new one has an older firmware, support told me that it might be the date of manufacture and wait for firmware updates but they can give me no indication of when that MIGHT arrive. The support sites for UE and Logitech have absolutely no useful information and the customer support can't tell you anything. I would avoid this speaker like the plague..
