Man, I was so happy when I got this speaker. It got LOUUUUD, the bass was punchy, the sound was unrivaled. So why am I rating it 2 stars? Well, it was rated for 16 hours of battery life, and to my surprise, it only lasted for 6.5 hours. I was highly disappointed by this as it was a big selling point for me. I ended up returning it and buying a soundcore rave neo which was actually a much better purchase and cheaper.

I've had this speaker for 4 days I'm ready to take it back. The sound quality is great if you're in an enclosed area, you get in an open area forget about it. The battery, the battery says 15 hours of play time, nope. I'm very disappointed for spending this much on such a poor quality. The charging port is in a great location if you have access to an outlet to always keep it on a charger. But, the door to access the microUSB port will eventually separate the sodering from the port to the board it attaches to on the inside with the amount of pressure it presses down. It does have the option for a wireless charging base if you feel like spending the extra $30, which makes it nice to stay in one place.

I love the fact that it is loud and it gets the job done.. Byt I’ve only had it for a few weeks and it won’t hold charge. It won’t even play while on the charger. I would have it charging for 5 hrs and it would die in 10 mins of playing. I don’t think that is how it work haven’t had the chance to take it back yet glad I have insurance. Very disappointing

Have you tried reset the speaker? 1)Your ULTIMATE EARS speaker needs to be turned on, in not press once Power Button. 2) Now press together Volume Down Button and Power Key and hold it for over 10 seconds.
3)When you hear a short tone, it means that reset is complete and you can release buttons. I had high hopes for the boom 3 but i was very disapointed and return it. The bluetooth is awful it kept dropping out no matter if i was close of far away. Never could get it to update frimware even with UE support help. My boom 2 works so much better.

This speaker is not the best for its price, nor it works with Siri, nor can you go backwards in your playlist. The sound quality is very static and has zero bass. Would not recommend. The only cool thing is that it’s completely water proof. Go spend your money on another speaker please.

Hi! The Boom 3 also has the Boom app to be able to tweak the EQ settings of the speaker. While you can't go to a previous track or activate voice assistants from the speaker, you can always tell your phone to do it instead! If need a little more, there is always the Megaboom 3 and the Hyperboom which definitely bring the bass! Sounds good. Battery died in less than two hours after charging for over 6 hrs fresh out of the box. Returned to store immediately. I bought this after going through reviews against some of its competitors and was thoroughly unimpressed.

I bought this for a friend. We listened to all the speakers in the store. This had the best sound for the price range. My friend just loves it. I have not tossed it in the bathtub yet. So I can not say anything about it being waterproof. But for the money it is a worthwhile investment

unfortunately about a month after buying this as a gift for a friend it quit holding a charge and now it wont even stay on when plugged in. it worked very good when it did work though.

I am sorry that the Boom 3 stopped working suddenly. I recommend you update the firmware using the Ultimate Ears app, and if that does not work, contact the UE support team. Excellent sound, but the battery is a tremendous disappointment ... Promises to last 15 hr. And the longest it has lasted is 5 hr. For 160 dlls I expected much more

The speaker is very portable, but if you like bass, the sound is lacking. Very tinny sound and if you take it outdoors, the sound is worse. I returned it for a Sonos Roam.

I bought two of these speakers, the megaboom 3 and this one. I bought this one and wasn't satisfied with the bass quality so I thought since I could pair them to just get the megaboom 3 and have the extra bass with surround sound. The boom 3 is a decent speaker, not great on bass but good for what it is. The pairing of the two is an absolute nightmare. Owning two of the UE speakers is completely unnecessary as the pairing function is constantly cutting out or booting the other speaker off with my phone and both speakers not only in the same room but feet away from each other. I have gone through every suggestion and step that UE has put me through to ensure proper pairing and nothing works. Best buy would not return the boom 3 as it was outside the 15 days and UE does not refund anything bought outside of their website. I went through tons of reviews before buying the boom 3 and most of what I read praised this speaker. Best buy support/customer support from UE, not to mention this speakers overall sound and connectivity have all been a huge letdown. Over priced for the sound quality and trying to pair any of these speakers is next to impossible. So if you are planning to buy from them I would suggest only one speaker and investing a few extra dollars for the megaboom 3.

Our JBL Charge+ 2 is going on 5 years with heavy usage (daily) and the battery is starting to go (still works great when plugged in). I purchased the UE BOOM 3 speaker based on a number of top ten lists from seemingly reputable publications to replace our JBL. The BOOM 3 sounds like a tin can compared to JBL. I downloaded the app for the BOOM 3, which is quite convenient, and played with the equalizer to help tune the sound of the BOOM 3. But that only made a modest difference to the sound of the BOOM 3. The BOOM 3 will definitely sound better than your phone or tablet. It has some cool features in the app, including being able to turn the speaker on and off from your phone/tablet. But we couldn't get over the lack of bass and warmth compared to our JBL. The BOOM 3 is definitely a bright speaker, heavy on the highs. Sent this speaker back and ordered a JBL replacement. We listen to blues, rock, country, alternative, pop, and Disney songs between myself, my wife and our toddler. I am not necessarily looking for a bass heavy speaker, but the JBL fills the room much better. We use the speaker in the kitchen, outside, and when traveling.

The bass isn’t the best and the music doesn’t sound too good. It sounds kind of flat compared to some of my home speakers. If you put it all the way loud it doesn’t sound that good. Even while trying to customize the EQ it wasn’t as good as I was expecting. It’s not the worst but if you like blasting edm you will most likely feel underwhelmed

Here is a possible solution:You can connect your BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 to your smartphone, tablet or other device using the Bluetooth button. Out of the package, your BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 is ready to pair with your first Bluetooth device. Here’s how:
Turn the speaker on by pressing the power button on the top of the speaker. The power indicator will glow white, the Bluetooth connect button (above the power button) will blink white rapidly, and you will hear a tone indicating the speaker is ready to pair.
On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth menu and scan for devices (make sure Bluetooth is enabled).
Select BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 from the list of devices.
Once paired and connected, you’ll hear an audible confirmation from the speaker. This means your BOOM 3 or MEGABOOM 3 is ready to use. You can pair additional devices with your speaker, see Connecting your speaker to additional devices. If you need further assistance please contact support on the website at https://ultimateears.com/

Difficult to set up in order to maintain WIFI connection or any aothr soind that syncs. I"m not sure, But maby hrad porobelems my also exist. I don't know. At anyway, Maby there should be some sort of hard copy manuals for the customer who is not technically savvy and do not understand impariant explanions. it. does't meet the requirments=========================================.

Bought to take with me in my vacation loved the color and is compact. However, the speaker died after 2 hours of playing music. Charging takes too long. I wish I could return or exchange for something better.

Liked the 360 degree sound. Charging port was defective out of the box. Since they do sell their own proprietary dock, I sort of think the charging port defect might be purposeful. Purchased for $80.
