I bought the speaker for my husband for valentine's day. There were several factors that influenced my decision to buy this for the hubs. #1 The battery "life", #2 the fact that it's dust and water resistant, #3 the reviews were pretty great on the sound quality. He loves the speaker. The volume and sound quality is great! Clear and loud. He told me the other day that it, in no way, comes close to 5 hours, let alone 15 hours of battery life. We had some running around to do, and brought the full charged speaker with us to listen to in the vehicle (our kids sit in the back and watch the dvd player, so unless we bring a speaker, we can't listen to music). My hubby grabbed the speaker off the charger (where it had been charging all night) and we turned it on as we were pulling out of the driveway (11:10 am). As we are leaving he says, "Bet this won't last the whole time we are gone." He was right. 2:08 pm the speaker died. We were 2 minutes shy of 3 hours. I will hopefully be returning. This isn't an issue of we have had it and the battery life just isn't lasting that long anymore. I purchased it 2/8. Gave it to him 2/13. So, he's had it just over a week. Also, he said that's normally about how long it lasts while he's at work.

Love the Sound! I would give it 5 stars but my husband has had to return it 3 times because it wasn’t charging. The last time the rep there told him about the little charger he could buy to plug into instead of the speaker itself. So we’ll find out before long if that worked! Stay tuned!

The sound is fantastic, but it has the worlds WORST set of instructions- even on the website or app. For example, it say to check the battery level, press the volume and and the volume down indicators at the same time. Then what? I have yet to have anything happen when I do that, is it supposed to announce it? Or is there some indicator somewhere? Beats me - and they sure don’t feel the need to tell you. The. Other problem, and it is a significant one, is that they are prone to stop charging after not a very long time. I’ve had mine less than a year and it simply decided not the charge. I tried 3 different cables and 3 different chargers, but when I opened the app in a desperate attempt to see if there was something to fix his, suddenly it started charging BUT it isn’t charging over 90%, according to the app. This is really unacceptable for a $150 speaker. I have contacted support; we’ll see if anything happens, but I’m not overly thrilled with this because of the charging issue. And in looking for a solution, I have seen I’m not the only one with this, problem.

Speaker sound quality was great however it lacked any real bass/low notes. I really like the design and higher range sound quality but if you like having any bass feelings at all I would suggest you look elsewhere. I have returned this item and purchased a bose speaker.

The charging port it’s better located than the boom 2 and it’s louder than the boom 2 (a bit larger size too). However, I think the boom 2 has a better bass response therefore sounding better than this newer model.

The sound quality for the one is pretty good. I bought it because I heard the larger version and liked it. I was hope ing to pair it with another one for stereo sound and it does pair but is slightly off making it very annoying for me.

I have boom2 and mega boom2. Bought boom3 . Design is much better than boom2 but no usb c port.. i dont know if everyone notice but the boom3 doesnt have a microphone to take calls or to talk to google assistant . Ue boom 2 did that.. ue might have reduced the price but it did make compromises.... even a cheaper speakers have microphone these days. I dont thing i will buy a megaboom 3. And no where on the website there is a mention that one cannot take calls on boom 3... really dissapointing for these omitions.. i would recommend to stick to boom2 unless you need new design. Or else the sound almost is same.

This bluetooth speaker is very clear and spacious sounding. It projects it's output 360 degrees for even sound dispersion in the room, but best if it's a small bedroom or study. Unfortunately, the last octave of bass is missing. What I mean is there is almost no bass. Clearly, this is a design consideration, for a speaker at $149 to not be destroyed by too much volume, means the low base has to be sacrificed. For many people, voice reproduction is most important. Example: my wife listens to podcasts and thinks it's just fine. I listen to music and think it needs more bass. We are both right, it just depends...

Hi Spike! The Boom 3 also has the Boom app to be able to tweak the EQ settings of the speaker. But there is always the Megaboom 3 and the Hyperboom which definitely bring the bass! If you have any questions, check out the Ultimate Ears Support page at https://support.ultimateears.com/en/boom3/. I hope that helps!

Its nice, but there is no reason to buy this over the wonderboom2. They are both equally loud at least (i honestly think the WB2 is louder and thumpier) theres no reason to spend the extra cash imo

Loud. Easy on the good. Water/sand resistant. Only bad thing is Battery life. Says up to 15 hours. More like 2.

This little can be loud and fun for outside activities especially. However, has issue connecting for time to time. The battery life was great the first few months, seems to be draining quicker now. For $275 i cant say its been my best purchase. If this were more affordable ($100 range) i would rate 5 stars.

Sound os amazing bit then the subwoofer will stop working or the charbing port

The item is okay I guess. It takes FOREVER to charge and the battery dies pretty fast. If the battery is below a certain percentage it won’t play at all, even if it’s on the charger. The sound quality is good, but wow! I feel like I wasted my money.

That's disappointing to hear and it's surely not what we expect to deliver. In that case, we'd recommend you to please feel free to get in touch with our Logi support team as they will be we'll equipped to assist you with all the necessary steps.

If you like mediocre sound...just noise... But don't recommend if you appreciate balance of tones bass, treble,voice...

Sounded good until it stopped charging and had it for just a few months

Speaker is great quality! Unfortunately I've been having problems connecting other devices to the speaker and the middle button on the top has already stopped working so I need to bring it in to be fixed.

It is good for party music but for anything that's a little more frequency driven, it may feel too heavy on bass. I liked it but not enough to keep it. My needs were more to get something to play better frequency response.

The sounds and volume is great but it doesn’t hold a long charge and it no longer turns off anymore you have to let it die every time.

The speaker serves its purpose and is decently loud but I’m in love with the UE Wonderboom speakers and the outdoor mode.

I haven’t had it even a month yet and it won’t charge anymore. I can’t even return or exchange it. I’m happy with the sound and upset the charge is not working anymore.
