A: These (the v3), require a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi channel. Nearly all modern modems, Wi-Fi meshes etc automatically switch. So even if you have 5ghz, chances are you also have 2.4 and didn’t know. This camera can be used with no monthly fee. This is the last camera from Wyze that has person detection for free as well. You have to sign up for “Cam Plus Lite” on the website, you name your own price (you can enter $0), then in the app, go to account > services > cam plus lite (tab on the top), then add the camera. They are great cameras, have been using v3’s since they launched with no real issues. Mine have also been exposed to intense snow and heat etc.
