Customers are satisfied with the large 17-inch screen and the unbeatable price of the 17.3" Laptop. However, some customers have expressed concerns about its slow performance, stating that it is slower than their older computers.
This seemed like a great deal for a 17" at $100 off, but as it moves between 100% CPU usage and 100% hard drive usage (in task manager), while I am doing nothing else on the computer but surfing the Internet. It means that this computer is extremely slow. It also took over 2 hours to upgrade to the latest version of Windows right when I turned it on. Unfortunately, this will get returned. Spend the extra $100 to $200 to get a computer that will actually have a decent speed. This one is too slow, even to just surf the internet. On the plus side, I do like the textured surface of this laptop as something a little different and it is surprisingly light weight for its size.

I bought this for my wife. It is not the fastest one available, but it has been very reliable.

The price is hard to beat. The memory is just barely adequate (4 gb) though. Seemed to run well so far. Should be running faster when used for Linux OS as dual-boot.
