Does this watch have a timer function

Does the Vívofit Jr. 3 contain a clock function *on its own*? Or must it sync with the Garmin Jr. app installed on the paired device in order to be able to accurately give the time? The Vivofit Jr. 2 can't keep its own own time, which makes it pointless.
