This game is a survival horror that plays a lot like a Metal Gear Solid but in first person. The game has a difficult campaign, but is fun with its stealth gameplay. It took me about 20 hours to beat it (get to the end) and 40 to complete it ( unlock all achievements) the game. This game has good controls, visuals and runs smoothly with little frame dropping. The aliens are smart and will be relentless in trying to find you. The only real issue I have with this game is the distant between save points which are far and at times difficult to see. Otherwise this game is a solid addition to your collection.

Alien: Isolation is a very interesting take on the first-person genre. You have no real way of fighting back against the game's primary antagonist, the xenomorph from Ridley Scott's Alien. The game's missions mostly have you going from point A to point B, but having to get past and hide from the xenomorph can make things very difficult. I found the xenomorph AI to be so relentless that I changed the game's difficulty setting from Normal to Easy, something I almost never do. My favorite part of the game is how it expertly recreates the late 70's atmosphere from the film perfectly in game form. Overall, I would recommend this game, but it's definitely not for those easily scared or frustrated.

Pros: lots of gadgets, lots of sneaky stealth sequences, lots of horror. You're gonna be afraid - afraid that this is the time the alien is going to skulk past the locker you're backed into the far corner of, holding your breath while your heartbeat practically pounds through your teeth, and rip open the door and your face. They do a very good job of immersing you in this hopeless fear. You have no way to stop the alien until the end of the game - and even at that point, it's just a counter active measure to buy you 10 seconds. Even the androids will pound and choke the life out of you with little effort on the easiest difficulty. This is a brutal game that punishes Rambo-ism. And it's very, very heavily inspired by the original Alien flick - so if you're a movie buff and that particular movie happens to be a favorite of yours, you will appreciate this game. Cons: even on the easiest difficulty, this game is hard. And sometimes hard because you've been on the same stupid stealth section for 3 hours, wasting time hiding in a storage box while the alien stomps around hissing and clacking. It's a punishing game, and I would never play it again because it caused me extreme stress. I was happy to be done with it.
