Customers regard the Pro Indoor/Outdoor 720p Wi-Fi Wire-Free Security Camera highly, praising its camera quality, ease of use, and battery life. Many also appreciate the night vision capabilities and straightforward installation process. However, some users find the motion detection requires adjustment, and a few have expressed concerns about the price. Other minor criticisms include the mounting system and sensitivity settings.
I was hesitant at first simply because of the wireless aspects and not sure if you can get the image quality with a wired system. Obviously you will get smoother video quality and higher resolution with a wires system but the Arlo Pro cameras work great in my mind for their purpose. I see so many people complain about such little things that they fail to understand the limitations with wireless technology. The installation of the base station and the cameras was extremely easy to follow and do. Most questions I have had, since i bought the system, were found in Arlo Netgear forums or other websites. The rechargeable batteries are the way to go as they are easy to recharge. I was able to place the cameras in locations that were easy to access from an upstairs window making retrieving and reinstalling easy each time. The half sphere magnetic base is perfect to keep the camera as close to the exterior wall to avoid attracting attention. I would post a screenshot of my setup, but for security purposes I decided not too, so instead here is a single camera shot to give you an idea of the quality you will see. Replay is easy from the cloud and accessing from your phone or tablet is simple and convenient. If you want to make the batteries last longer I would decrease motion sensing to 60% otherwise it records everything that moves. Living on a busy street would make it difficult to maintain a long battery life.
