In short, superficially it's nice, but structurally and functionally, it's not worth half the cost. Right out of the box, I could tell that it was made in China, and there's a sticker on the back stating something to the effect of a California complaint of formaldehyde. And if that wasn't enough, its surface is scratched, scuffed, and peeling in multiple places; it was also missing screws. The frame is flimsy, with little to no support (best kept in a low traffic area, and away from children); the backing is three pieces of cardboard taped together, and held on by screws (with no pilot holes). The middle shelf is not adjustable, dvd/blu-rays must be laid flat; and any movies, cds, or books kept in the center of every shelf cannot be accessed without having to remove a handful of items from either side first. All in all, I suggest that you keep shopping, if your willing to spend this much money, on this kind of product, spend a little more and get something of much higher quality.

The media cabinet leaves a lot to be desired. Instructions are weak, assembly sometimes doesn’t work due to misaligned or incorrect pilot holes, re-drilling is often needed. Center shelving is placed incorrectly, to maintain an even space between shelves, which is custom work, not for those not mechanically inclined. The door adjustment barely accommodate the vertical space. More along that line, too numerous to include.

Unfortunately I would love to give this a great review, but truly can't. First off, it only holds standard size jewel case or smaller cds, unless you want to give up shelf space. So the amount of cds it says it does hold isn't truly accurate. Second, the doors block all the cds behind were they overlap, so they are extremely difficult to get at. It does look nice and was very easy to put together, So if your going just for looks, this case would be fine.

The cabinets doors could be a little stronger even tho they slide with ease, could be a better on the durability overall. Make sure you have an electric and hand screw driver for drilling all the screws. My husband I put it together it took about 30 -45 mins to put it together. The backing is like a cardboard was not pleased with that for the price it will serve its purpose. Hubby wants to get another one to finish putting all his movies in. I would purchase another one.

For the price, this piece was a great value. Easy to assemble, during assembly it seems like this is sort of flimsy, however, once the back panel is put into place everything is fine. The only issue I have is the middle shelf is stationary and can't be adjusted this eliminates some space that I could have used to fit in about 20 more DVDs. Looks like I'll just have to buy another cabinet. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a stylish place to store your DVDs or CDs.

      Over priced piece of junk

I have assembled kit furniture many time and never seen such junk. The cams don't lock in place sufficiently to stay closed or keep the sides stable. The track, top and bottom, are too shallow to keep the doors in place. The doors fell out of the tracks even though the adjustment screws were completely extended. The cardboard back is flimsy and does not hold the case square. Sad to say my sister purchased this as a gift for me. Wish she had saved her money, it goes out in the trash tomorrow.

It's your average fiberboard case with plastic veneer. Assembly wasn't bad, but the packaging is awful. Prepare to get styrofoam every where. Overall the build quality is pretty stable once you screw in the back piece. Out of the box day one some of the plastic veneer is peeling away for a couple of corners. At this price point, either spend more for something better quality or spend less for similar quality. The finish is a duller tan than the pictures lead on to believe.

I read reviews before my purchase and I was worried about assembly and quality. The assembly wasn't bad. It does take two people like many suggested. I didn't use a power screwdriver like people suggest so it did take awhile. However, once together it looks very nice. All of my dvds fit. I did have to lay two rows on their side due to the fixed shelf. I don't think this is worth the price due to the quality of the materials.
