Many also appreciate the system's price point and effective night vision capabilities. However, some users have noted that the battery life could be improved, and the motion detection may need refinement. Iv'e been searching for months to replace my old wireless systems that iv'e used for the past 7-8 years, ZMODO & SAMSUNG, after careful review of what's available on the market i chose the Blink XT-2 5 camera option on sale and added another Blink Mini for $10, Also received an Amazon Echo 5 FREE, look for deals. After setting up the system and going live which took less than 15 minutes (if it's your first system it might take a little longer) i knew right away i'd made the right choice, the features that kept me on Zmodo (price, ease of use & free 10 sec clips) and Samsungs durability and clear picture were both here on this Blink system. I might have continued buying the Zmodo cameras at only $20 a piece, i also had them at 3 different locations (12 cameras total) and it worked great, however Zmodo stopped offering the mini wifi cameras after they started pimping their cloud packages which are very expensive, so after Christmas i started doing my homework and here we are. The Pro's with Blink so far are: Price is right, ability to add up to 10 cameras per Module (Zmodo & Samsung don't have modules) but i think this is better as the cameras are useless if someone steals, also the range is great so far, i buried the module behind my couch in a out-of-the-way outlet because i hate clutter and the cameras work great, one is at least 200 feet away where my Zmodo struggled and it works fine. you have a dashboard on each camera to set not only the area to pick up motion (old) but to manage trigger time, sensitivity, and new to me the clip length. The clip length is the amount of video clip you want on each camera, one camera in my yard isn't important ( 5 second clip) my front porch & business i want longer clips (15 seconds) you can't set them all to 60 second clips but with the free storage you'd run out quick and the battery life would be a lot less as well, others complain about battery life, but at this price point don't complain, it's all relevant, want it to last longer? reduce above features. All in all i'm very happy with this system, i usually wait a few months to review something, but i have experience with these cameras and i'm sure of it's ability and will likely order 4 more cameras to hit my 10 max, still need to figure out how to add more than 10, i think it's buy another module, we shall see.

Great camera and free cloud storage, but the motion detection sensor can be tricky to set. I ordered the power adapter from Amazon as the side of my home gets a lot of foot traffic and the batteries were showing at 70% within a couple of weeks. Also, the night vision is decent and you'll need a fast wireless internet connection. I also bought a range extender and the video clips show fairly quick [couple of seconds delay]. I love the 2-way talking...I spooked a friend that came to our house to check while we were gone on vacation. The only drawback is that I cannot use an SD card to store video as every clip is saved to the cloud, but you can download the video clips of you like, or upload them to your google fotos or drive. I'll be purchasing 2 more of these cameras to complete coverage of my house's perimeter. Ah, and I bought a mounting as the one that came with the camera is not secure and has limited viewing angles.

If you’re looking for quality video, mobile alerts, easy setup, affordable price & no monthly fees for cloud storage then this system is perfect. I needed something to keep an eye on my car while parked in a shared driveway with a lot of traffic. This system came with 2 cameras and setup was under 15 mins. Installation of the cameras themselves took a little longer since they had to be mounted into a brick exterior (special mounts not included but under $10). I ordered weatherproof housing that came with mounts that were better suited for where I needed these to hung, the ones included are geared more for indoor mounting. This system is also compatible with Alexa show if you have those devices. So far this was a good purchase especially since they were on sale.
