Blink - XT2 1-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wire-Free 1080p Surveillance System - Black

Iv'e been searching for months to replace my old wireless systems that iv'e used for the past 7-8 years, ZMODO & SAMSUNG, after careful review of what's available on the market i chose the Blink XT-2 5 camera option on sale and added another Blink Mini for $10, Also received an Amazon Echo 5 FREE, look for deals. After setting up the system and going live which took less than 15 minutes (if it's your first system it might take a little longer) i knew right away i'd made the right choice, the features that kept me on Zmodo (price, ease of use & free 10 sec clips) and Samsungs durability and clear picture were both here on this Blink system. I might have continued buying the Zmodo cameras at only $20 a piece, i also had them at 3 different locations (12 cameras total) and it worked great, however Zmodo stopped offering the mini wifi cameras after they started pimping their cloud packages which are very expensive, so after Christmas i started doing my homework and here we are. The Pro's with Blink so far are: Price is right, ability to add up to 10 cameras per Module (Zmodo & Samsung don't have modules) but i think this is better as the cameras are useless if someone steals, also the range is great so far, i buried the module behind my couch in a out-of-the-way outlet because i hate clutter and the cameras work great, one is at least 200 feet away where my Zmodo struggled and it works fine. you have a dashboard on each camera to set not only the area to pick up motion (old) but to manage trigger time, sensitivity, and new to me the clip length. The clip length is the amount of video clip you want on each camera, one camera in my yard isn't important ( 5 second clip) my front porch & business i want longer clips (15 seconds) you can't set them all to 60 second clips but with the free storage you'd run out quick and the battery life would be a lot less as well, others complain about battery life, but at this price point don't complain, it's all relevant, want it to last longer? reduce above features. All in all i'm very happy with this system, i usually wait a few months to review something, but i have experience with these cameras and i'm sure of it's ability and will likely order 4 more cameras to hit my 10 max, still need to figure out how to add more than 10, i think it's buy another module, we shall see.

I was using the original Blink XT Cameras for the past 7 months and they’ve been great. Only thing that was missing was two way audio and then these were released but reviews weren’t great. I waited a little but reviews were still up and down. Finally caught the XT2 on a sale that I couldn’t pass up and glad I made the jump. The cameras all went up in the same spots that the old XTs were mounted and aside from now having two way audio, I see absolutely no difference between the two systems and that is definitely a positive thing. I can now keep an eye on my puppy and tell him to keep out of things that he shouldn’t be getting into when I’m not around and when the dog walker leaves him out in the yard. Overall, very nice camera system that I would definitely recommend to anyone that doesn’t feel like paying monthly fees for someone else to monitor.

Don't buy these if your looking for an alway on quick glance and an instant live view. But if you're looking for a great wire free no mess HD video with a slight delay this is the product. I have 3 at a cabin in another state front and back view and one at a food station that is mounted at least 50 feet from the back of the cabin with no problems. I had no idea so many deer visited after dark! Only into this camera for a few months, started with one and have grown to 10 cameras. I'm not interested in 2 years at the cabin as we only are up for the summer May - October and the power is off for the winter but if I can get the summer months with high use on one battery great. For the house well see how things go. Great close night vision, so-so from the house to the street, but I didn't buy them for that.

Great camera and free cloud storage, but the motion detection sensor can be tricky to set. I ordered the power adapter from Amazon as the side of my home gets a lot of foot traffic and the batteries were showing at 70% within a couple of weeks. Also, the night vision is decent and you'll need a fast wireless internet connection. I also bought a range extender and the video clips show fairly quick [couple of seconds delay]. I love the 2-way talking...I spooked a friend that came to our house to check while we were gone on vacation. The only drawback is that I cannot use an SD card to store video as every clip is saved to the cloud, but you can download the video clips of you like, or upload them to your google fotos or drive. I'll be purchasing 2 more of these cameras to complete coverage of my house's perimeter. Ah, and I bought a mounting as the one that came with the camera is not secure and has limited viewing angles.

These are economical and easy to use. They use the wifi in your house and are super easy to connect. Can be used with Alexa or just with the Blink app on your phone. I love that I can see who is coming and going at my house when out of town or at work. The batteries are supposed to last 2 years, but if the camera has a lot of use like my front, then it is about a year. However, I bought energizer replacement batteries on amazon. You could probably pick them up anywhere they sell batteries. The AA batteries were about the same as other AA batteries in price. I also like that I can rearrange them if needed, add more and take them with me when I move. I recommend these to everyone. There are no monthly fees and very versatile. You can buy mounts that allow you to swivel or get a better angle. They are not expensive either. ($12-$14)

This camera system is pretty amazing. I’ve had other wireless systems that I’ve installed at work that were a joke, not reliable at all. This system paired with a good internet connection/router works seamlessly. I was very very close to installing a Lorex Wired camera system but chose the blink 5 camera system with one add on camera and couldn’t be happier. Install is so easy it’s laughable. Highly recommend this product!

Love the fact that you don’t have to connect them you can activate them when ever you want or turn them off at the touch of your phone, I have one already and in the porch and love it so far haven’t changed the battery and my camera is very active with all the deliveries and what not. So I got three more for the back yard and my moms house. Very easy to manage and great image at night or day light .

These security cameras will give you ease of mind without breaking the bank. Ok this is the important part as long as your internet is strong you will not have any issues. The hard drive is awesome saves videos for a very long time, I’ve keep mine for abt 30 days but the cloud can store for longer. The night vision is excellent, clean and clear pics. I also long the Talk on the cameras while I was in Mexico I checked in on the kids scared them because they didn’t know where it was coming from they thought I was back and in the house...lol
