Bambu Lab - P2S AMS Combo 3D Printer - Gray

After doing our due diligence on what was available and still being price conscious, we ultimately settled on the Bambu Lab P2S AMS Combo, and it has exceeded expectations. It was a Christmas gift for my 13-year-old, who specifically wanted a 3D printer to bring her digital art creations to life. What impressed me immediately was how intuitive the setup was — she was able to get it up and running largely on her own with minimal help. The AMS (Automatic Material System) has been a standout feature. It allows up to four different filaments to be loaded at once, making it easy to create multi-colored prints without manual filament changes. Being able to design something digitally and see it printed in multiple colors has been especially exciting and motivating for her. Print quality has been consistently excellent right out of the box, and the overall experience feels polished and reliable rather than something that requires constant tweaking or troubleshooting. For the performance, features, and ease of use you get at this price point, it delivers serious bang for your buck. It’s hard to find a better value in this category.

Purchased this to explore 3D printing, and the ease of use has been impressive. The ecosystem has made printing a wide variety of projects straightforward and reliable. Most of the print issues I’ve experienced have come down to the quality of the downloaded files rather than the printer itself. I’ve only had one real “spaghetti” incident so far, which was resolved by cleaning the print bed and re-downloading the file. It was not a printer issue, and the unit has been running great. I try to keep the printer running anytime I’m home. The app works extremely well, and the built-in camera feature makes it easy to monitor prints remotely from another room without constantly checking on the machine. The next step is exploring my own designs and printing products for commercial use, along with potentially purchasing a second unit in the future. This is my first 3D printer, and so far I’ve been extremely pleased with the experience. Very happy overall.

The Bambu Lab P2S has been a great addition to my setup, and overall I’m very satisfied with its performance. The printer is fast, reliable, and produces high-quality prints with minimal effort. Setup was straightforward, and the user experience feels polished and well thought out. However, there is one noticeable downside. When printing very small or delicate details, the nozzle can sometimes knock the part loose from the build plate. In some cases, this also leads to a “spaghetti” effect where the print fails and filament gets tangled. This issue doesn’t happen all the time, but it’s something to keep in mind for highly detailed or tiny models. Overall, despite this limitation, the P2S delivers excellent results and remains a solid choice for most printing needs.

After a lot of research, I decided to purchase the Bambu Lab P2S, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. As someone who was completely new to 3D printing, I was looking for something that wouldn't require hours of setup or troubleshooting before I could make my first print. The P2S was exactly that. Assembly was incredibly simple, and I was printing within minutes. It truly feels like a plug-and-play experience. One of my favorite features is the Bambu Handy app. It's intuitive, easy to navigate, and makes starting prints almost effortless. On the rare occasion that something doesn't go as planned, the printer and app work together to guide you through the troubleshooting process step by step. Instead of leaving you to search forums or watch YouTube videos, it explains what the issue is and how to fix it, which has been invaluable for a beginner like me. The print quality has been excellent, the printer has been reliable, and the entire ecosystem feels very polished. It's clear Bambu Lab put a lot of thought into making 3D printing approachable for newcomers while still offering a machine that experienced users can appreciate. If you're on the fence because you're new to 3D printing, don't be intimidated. The P2S made the learning curve much easier than I expected, and it's been a fantastic first printer. I would absolutely recommend it.

This is my second 3D printer from Bambu (and 4th ever). I have an X1C and this P2S is the new addition to the hobby, Both printers are very similar. The P2S has the same touchscreen and UI as the X1C. The lighting inside is much brighter and the camera angle is also improved. The bottom of the interior curves up to the edge of the door so you can easily scoop filament debris out. The P2S makes noises (beeps and chimes) when it boots up, starts a print and ends a print. It's a nice audio cue. I think you can turn it off but it has been useful. This printer is much faster as prepping than the X1C. I think the print quality is about the same but the P2S just takes way less time getting ready. The AMS 2 system has a built-in filament drying system. By itself, it is powered by the 3D printer and can only dry the filament when not printing. I purchased the external power supply directly from Bambu, only to find out that you still couldn't dry filament while printing, it was more to power the dryer on a 2nd AMS 2 system. Luckily, Bambu pushed out a software update that did allow drying while printing with the power supply attached, so I feel validated about my purchase. The filament management in the software is different from the X1C. I mostly use eSUN filament, which had a profile on the X1C out the box but the P2S only has generic profiles. You can add new ones manually, which I did. Print quality has been great. I haven't had to do much adjusting with PLA printing. We've had a few failed prints due to adhesion but that was user error, such as dirty plate. My wife and I only print as a hobby so we're not selling anything we print and we're not printing around the clock so maybe we're not the best reference if someone is looking to use this in a farm. Overall this printer is good as either a 1st time printer or a 2nd printer to get more serious into the hobby. The price is much lower than the X1C was for almost the same features, some of which are improved.
