The 13-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip lets you fly through work and play. With Apple Intelligence, a brilliant Liquid Retina display, up to 18 hours of battery life, and a strikingly thin and light design, it’s built to last and can take on just about anything, anywhere.
A: Not really but Apple memory upgrades are costly. My advice, take the 256 gig add and buy a 1tb Samsung external SSD from Amazon for like 100 bucks. Only keep essential files on the Mac, pictures and movies on the SSD.
Q: Is the midnight color good??
A: I feel this color is overrated. I have the stardust and for fighting fingerprints it is excellent.
A: Yes is new
Q: Does the keyboard have backlighting?
A: yes
Q: Does the new MacBook Air have Touch ID on the 13 inch
A: Yes, the power key in the upper right corner of the keyboard doubles as a fingerprint biometric ID.
Q: can this computer get google chrome? and Microsoft outlook?
A: Yes, you can install both app separately.
Q: does the MacBook Air have USB ports to plug in external devices?
A: you have to have an adaptor which Mac sells
A: I would say that if you have an iPhone and you are looking at “getting deeper into the ecosystem” this is definitely a good computer to get into the ecosystem. As for photos you may get better picture quality viewing them on the MacBook Pro if it’s something that you do a lot and depend on seeing the true colors. The MacBook supports the P3 wide color gamut but doesn’t support true HDR content. The MacBook Pro uses the same display on its Pro Display XDR which is a mini-LED display with high brightness great contrast and wide color. Up to you if it’s something to get by or if it’s something you use for a job to make money.

I’ve been using the 13-inch MacBook Air for a while now, and honestly, it’s become more than just a laptop—it’s part of my daily rhythm. From the moment I unboxed it, I knew I made the right choice. It’s sleek, light, and incredibly easy to carry around, which is perfect for someone like me who doesn’t like being tied to one spot while working or relaxing. What really surprised me at first was how powerful this little thing is. I went with the M2 chip (and now the latest ones have the M3), and everything just runs buttery smooth. Whether I’m juggling emails, editing documents, using creative tools, or even streaming and browsing at the same time, it doesn’t slow down. No fan noise, no overheating, no lag—just quiet, effortless performance. It’s the kind of machine that fades into the background and lets you focus entirely on what you’re doing. The battery life? Unreal. I charge it once and forget about it for the rest of the day—sometimes even two. That’s been a game-changer, especially when I’m working from coffee shops, on the couch, or while traveling. I don’t have to hunt for outlets or stress over battery percentages anymore. The keyboard is one of my favorite things. It’s so comfortable to type on—quiet, responsive, and somehow just satisfying. The trackpad is still the best I’ve ever used. And the Retina display? Everything looks so crisp and vibrant, whether I’m watching a movie, editing photos, or just browsing the web. Another thing I really appreciate is how well it works with my other Apple devices. The handoff features, AirDrop, Messages, FaceTime—it’s all seamless. I can start a note on my iPhone and pick it up on my MacBook without even thinking about it. That kind of integration makes daily life a little easier and smoother, and I’ve come to depend on it. But what really makes the MacBook Air feel so personal to me is how reliable it is. It starts instantly, wakes up fast, and always does what I need it to do without fuss. It’s become my go-to for work, planning, watching shows, journaling—you name it. I’ve customized it to fit my flow, and it’s never let me down. Is it perfect? No laptop is. It has just two USB-C ports, so I did have to get a little hub for extra connections. And it’s not a hardcore gaming laptop or meant for heavy-duty video editing. But for what I use it for—everyday productivity, creativity, light media work, and everything in between—it’s more than enough. If you’re looking for a laptop that’s incredibly portable, powerful enough for real work, beautifully designed, and genuinely enjoyable to use, I can’t recommend the 13-inch MacBook Air enough. It feels like a quiet companion that’s always ready to help, and honestly, it just fits into my life perfectly.

I picked up the new MacBook Air 13-inch with the Apple M4 chip (16GB Memory, 256GB SSD in Midnight) on August 27, 2025, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a laptop that could handle both my demanding work tasks and daily creative projects without missing a beat, and this is it. Blazing Performance: The M4 chip is seriously fast. My workflow, which involves running multiple professional apps like Photoshop and Xcode simultaneously, is completely seamless. No lag, no stuttering—it just works. The 16GB of memory makes multitasking effortless. A Design Masterpiece: The Midnight finish is stunning and the laptop is incredibly thin and light. It's truly portable, making my daily commute and work-from-coffee-shop days a pleasure. Exceptional Battery Life: I routinely get a full day of heavy use on a single charge. This freedom from the power adapter is one of the biggest reasons I chose this laptop over others. Perfect for Apple Intelligence: With the new M4 chip built for Apple Intelligence, I know I'm ready for all the latest AI-powered features. It feels completely future-proof. Flawless Pickup Experience: The in-store pickup at the Frisco, TX store was quick and easy, which made the whole purchasing process a breeze. I highly recommend it to any student, professional, or creative looking for a top-tier portable machine.
