I was always set on upgrading my ram from 4GB, which my macbook pro (15 inch Early-2011) originally brought, to 16 GB. After confirming that it could work on my macbook I bought it. Admittedly I was a little skeptical because I read some reviews out their that people had received bad ram chips or whatever the technically correct term is. I took a chance I had to call best buy in order to use the price match guarantee. First time I ever used it by the way. It was around 94 dollars on Amazon so I called them and told them they lowered the price from 134 to 94 and I was able to upgrade on shipping, which came out to be around $105. As soon as it arrived I installed it. Opened up my about mac option and it says 16GB, I'm still amazed. It makes all the difference go for it. Ever since I upgraded the fan that turns on to cool down the computer hasn't turned on once. Safari used to bounce up down a lot before I upgraded afterwards maximum it bounces like 3 times, but if close it and open it a second time it will open so quick you can't even blink otherwise you'll think safari opened by you just thinking it it takes less than a second! at least for me. Anyway enough rambling if you're thinking about upgrading with this I say do it take a risk and call best buy for the price match guarantee. I initially thought about going with new egg or amazon but I trust best buy more even though it may be a little irrational at the end of the day its the same product but still best buy in my mind is better.

The memory upgrade is the best thing you can do to your computer. I upgraded my 2011 Mac mini to more than the recommended 8gig to 16 gig. Now it's faster and doesn't get hung up. Install was easy.

We ended this to our 2011 I might work perfectly installation was easy and I'm very happy with how my Mac is performing.
