I looked around for a few months for a new laptop. My son has the Surface Book, since I am getting older i think the 13" might be a little small screen size for me so i decided to go with a 15". I looked at the new Spectre, Lenovo, and Dell. The 2 in 1 design is nice but there was no dedicated graphics in them at the time. When i need a tablet I'll pull out my Ipad Pro. BB had the XPS 15, 16gig ram, 4k, I7, 512 SSD for $1799.00 and that is - what I went with. 2 day free shipping, I ordered on a Friday and had it on Monday wow, not bad. I also purchased the BB 3 year protection plan. I brought it to BB geek squad and let them do the updates. It took them one day to get all the updates in. It's been a month now and have only had one issue. The blue tooth Arc mouse would only work while on battery power, when plugged in it would do nothing. I read in some review about turning off a setting in the blue tooth settings. Once I made that change, no further problems. As far as all the problems I have read about, I haven't had any of the : Screen Flickering at low or high settings Fan noise or any noise at all Blue screens Ports not working Space bar issues It is very fast, boots up in 8-15 seconds. Touch pad is super slick and very sensitive. Back-lit keyboard with the automatic feature is really cool. I didn't think I would ever need a touch screen on a laptop, I guess that's because i never had one. When I'm sitting in a chair with the unit on my lap, it's so much easier to scroll thru pages using your thumbs on the screen than trying to use the touch pad or curser keys. As far as battery life, I get 5-7 hours doing spread sheets or on the web. I plan to get the power companion to travel with for a little extra time. Dell did a nice job with the size of the unit. I placed my son's Surface book on top of the Dell and the depth was almost the same, the Dell was 1/2" wider than the SB. That little difference in size to have a larger screen was a huge plus for me. I have never spent over a $1000 for a laptop before, but this time I'm glad i did.

Fantastic vivid touch screen. Beautiful colors. Top quality dell product. Purchased for my children in junior high and high school. So glad I decided to purchase this particular model. Worth every penny. Sleek design. Battery/charge last longer than I thought-great perk!

I was looking for a new laptop for college and as an engineering student I wanted something lightweight and powerful. The xps 15 performance is unparalleled it starts up in seconds and runs programs without delay. The solid state drive is so much nicer than regular old hard drives. Keeps the computer from heating up, saves battery, and prevents dreaded blue screen crashes not to mention it runs much faster. The touch screen was a new feature to me and I must say I enjoy quite a lot. The infinity edge screen maximizes the screen size without adding unnecessary bulk. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs something to run big programs like modeling and design programs or anyone who's into pc gaming. The processing power is sure to keep you up and running without lag.
