This is by far the best looking Android phone in the market. The all metal (almost) unibody casing looks and feels great. The latest Qualcomm chip coupled with the latest version of Android makes the phone screaming fast. HTC has made amazing progress in terms of design and also simplifying their custom UI. Sense 6.0 is functional as well as feature rich, unlike Samsung's Touchwiz that's full of rarely used gimmicks. Battery life is great as well. With battery saving mode on, I regularly get 15-18 hours per single full charge on a moderate to heavy usage day. The only time battery drains faster than usual is when I take a lot of photos and upload them instantly without Wi-Fi. HTC does not really advertise this, but the phone is also water resistant or at least splash proof. I wash mine with soap almost everyday (I'm only slightly germaphobic lol). Other less important features to me are excellent selfie cam (front facing camera), front facing stereo BoomSound speakers, Beats audio enhanced sound, infrared blaster that turns your phone into a remote control, built in FitBit integration, etc. In short, I love this phone and would recommend it to anyone willing to listen.

I've had the One M8 for just under a month. Pros: -fast, smooth operation -adequate camera -loud front speakers -excellent display -SD card slot -adequate call quality and noise suppression -Nicely designed Aluminum case and decent build quality -decent battery life Cons: -on screen navigation buttons take up too much space, which negates the benefits of the large screen. The use of soft keys makes the effective screen size about 4.7" -exterior is VERY slippery. I'm not sure how anyone could handle this phone without a case and not drop it. My One X seems positively grippy compared to this slippery device. Get a case. -non removable battery -AT$T bloatware
