I love this tripod! I have numerous cameras of various sizes, but as the man said, the best camera is the one you have with you. This tripod is great to use with my little point-and-shoot, which I often have with me. And it is small enough to fit in my pocket or backpack, so it gets used more often than I initially expected. Most of my pictures (about 4,000-6,000/year) are shot outdoors, many while hiking, and that's where this Gorillapod tripod truly comes in handy. I can wrap its bendable legs around a tree branch, a railing, and uneven surface, or just have it stand up on a ledge or rock; it keeps the camera secure. I probably use it on only 1 to 2 percent of the shots I take but for those certain shots it's indispensable. I think I own three of these now. They're small enough where I sometimes misplace them, so I get another one and then the others turn up. That's because I take it with me a lot, and put it in a backpack, or hiking bag, or somewhere in the trunk, or coat/pants pocket - whatever I need at the time. Highly recommended, go get one!

I love this tripod for many uses, my only complaint would be is that the bottom part where you twist it in the camera can become a little lose at times. But very happy with it so far ! I would love to purchase the bigger one soon !

With a small flash unit and a remote trigger I can add light anywhere to a shot. I'm using an old flash unit from my film days that only uses two batteries. Four batteries total with the remote and it still holds its position just fine. And it hardly takes up any space in my camera bag.
