Installed appliance and ran for the first time which is very quiet...the only thing I wish it came with was more than just a drain hose

We purchased this after reading many reviews. The sale price fell into our budget and the delivery was just fine and on time. Installation is easy as I have done this before. It does not take a professional unless you have to start from scratch with the drain tubes and water delivery hose, and have trouble reading instructions or watching you tube. The machine is rated at 50DB and I don't have a DB meter. What I can say is that using the delay feature does not wake us. It is nicely quiet and not at all offensive. This is our second LG dishwasher. The previous one was more expensive and a little quieter, but not much. It lasted about 10 years and when things went wrong they went all wrong. Pump out, fixed. Door seal started leaking, fixed. And the fabled E1 message that there was a water issue... This all happened at the same time. When I fixed one thing the next one appeared. I am very handy with this sort of thing and this went beyond me. The LG help line is great! Do yourself a favor, if you can't fix it yourself with the help of the manual, just call an authorized repairman. The help line will do absolutely nothing to help you. They will refer you to a repair person! Like I said, save your time and frustration and call someone or replace the appliance. This has been very difficult for me. I have repaired our home appliances for years, now it's always a $300 circuit board, once you have replaced the actual mechanical parts. Such is life... In all honesty, I like LG appliances but get frustrated when the smallest part made of cheap plastic fails and it shuts down the machine. Try replacing the ice dispenser tube in a side by side refer. The solution is to replace the freezer door. THE WHOLE DOOR! And I have to reconnect to the same plastic tube that failed in the first place! I now buy bags of ice and dump them in the delivery container, and a $24.99 Brita filtered water pitcher for ice water. If I amortize out the costs it will take 11 years and 3 months to break even with the new door ( not including shipping a 167 pound door; no amazon prime there!). Todays appliances are not what they used to be. Go ahead and spend $1500.00 on a dishwasher. It will be a little quieter, but the rest of it will fall apart in the same time frame as the less expensive model.

Love the stainless, inside and out. It fits so many more dishes than our old dishwasher. Some people talk about the sound level, its great to me, I can't hear it in the other room. The cycles seem to be a bit long 2h 20m, but thats ok as we normally run it when we go to bed.
