Cameras are clear but, 15 fps does show a blur when objects or people are moving quickly in view. I still have to read about all of the functions of the system. Relatively easy to use. Although I like the deterrence features, if you have more than 30 fts to cover, a different lorex camera type may be for you. Alarm for this system will definitely get the attention of those around but not overly loud. Cameras have a metal shell for the camera but base is made of plastic. Lorex support had me download the Secure app but, I don't see access to deterrence features using this app. Will need to contact support again to find out why or if another app is what is needed. Overall, I'm satisfied. Will be adding a 5th camera that is more of the traditional bullet style with zoom ability to compliment this system.

This is a great starter set, you will need an internet connection and something to view the cameras on such as a pc monitor or tv with and HDMI or VGA connection. The hardest part will be to fish the ethernet cable through the attic and the walls. There are so many different security camera setup configurations out there it will make you crazy. You will be pleased with what you get with this package as a home owner, Excellent day and night resolution, two way communication, lights, siren, motion detection zones that will either flash the light, leave it on, chirp the siren, sound the siren, record or you can continuously record among other set up variables. You can also view from your Android or iPhone device, pc at home on your network or over the web with free software they provide, or tablet all this without any extra cost. Lorex also has cloud service but I did not subscribe to that. It is pretty much plug and play.

The cameras are awesome, great day and night video but the app in the Google store OMG...Zero stars for it! You need the app if you want to see the video on your phone. Forget about the 2 way voice stuff.
