We purchase this system because we wanted 4K and wired cameras. I hate the app. It’s so outdated and takes a while for it to pull up. The motion sensors are too sensitive no matter what we do. So we can’t get alerted when someone is at the door or driveway because it picks up the wind blowing. So we get an alert every 5 seconds for one of the cameras. I’ve turned the sensitivity down and changed the “area”. The 4K picture is great but that’s the only upside. Playback is slow. Sometimes a camera will quit working and I have to unplug it for a while and plug it back in. Not worth $800. Also, wish we could use it with Alexa but they aren’t compatible.

Video quality is amazing when it works but sadly that is rare. I really tried to like this system but I’m exhausted with messing with it. Pick a different system! This one is riddled with bugs. Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours with tech support each time it messes up which is quite often. System will not stay up. Cameras will lock up and not be recording even when there is a picture from them on the screen. App is slow. There is no alert to tell you there is a problem with the system so you have to check it daily to make sure it is working. Otherwise you may go days without knowing it is not recording. System requires reset/reboot every few days to stay working. Defeats the purpose of having a surveillance system where you are able to go back in time and access footage. I have had the system for about 6 months trying different things and hoping it would eventually start working correctly. I would return and get refund if it was still within return window.

I had it for 2 days when it started to fail. Being my 3rd system im very familiar with night owl so this sucks. You'll need a 4k monitor which makes the cameras look stunning. The console is very flawed. Sent mine to them and waiting for a replacement. Issues as of now not all cameras show up. Cannot access the main menu. When main menu shows up it boots you out.
