Setting up is fluent; took approx one hr to input the standard setting queries. From then on, I can install my regular software programs like MS Office, Acrobat Reader, etc. I have used the desktop daily for over 3 weeks. I does what I need it to do: Word processing, PowerPoint, pdf file handling, playback music & video files. The 4MB RAM is OK but will speed up and I anticipate it will perform faster if I beef it up to 8MB RAM. So far I am happy with my purchase.

You can't really go wrong with HP PCs when they are on sale (below $400!). While this isn't the powerhouse with all of the bells and whistles that some are going for, it's perfect for the not-so-tech-savvy parents who just want to check emails, do some light browsing, and play some solitaire and freecell games. If this is the kind of audience you're going for, this PC won't let you down!
