This is an awesome option to use your PS4 to strictly watch videos and navigate the menus if you're not intending to actually play a game. Setup is simple. You pair it by holding down a couple of buttons to set it up via Bluetooth. Then you download the app from the Playstation Store and use that to set it up to control your TV. It's super simple and to my surprise even controls my slightly older TV. The thing that it lacks is a dedicated mute button. You're only option is to just turn the TV all the way down, but this controller does that. It's also mostly slick plastic. The buttons are rubberized and I think that if the entire remote were coated in that, it would be a lot nicer, but that's a minor complaint.

This product has been a game changer! As a family, we constantly had two problems 1) dying ps4 controller battery and 2) a simple bump of the controller skips to the next scene. This remote was MADE FOR THE PS4! Easy set up and controls my volume on my tv. Definitely worth the extra $5 for the upgrade remote! Great deal

I love this remote. I use my PlayStation as my blu-ray player frequently. I could never remember how to pause and fast forward with the controller. This remote takes all the guess work out. It has pause, play, skip chapter, fast forward, and rewind. It even has volume control for the tv. It also has all the normal gamer controller buttons labeled. Literally my only complaint is, the remote can drain batteries quickly if you leave it sitting around unused. I just take the batteries out. I can’t more highly suggest an item.
