This is an awesome option to use your PS4 to strictly watch videos and navigate the menus if you're not intending to actually play a game. Setup is simple. You pair it by holding down a couple of buttons to set it up via Bluetooth. Then you download the app from the Playstation Store and use that to set it up to control your TV. It's super simple and to my surprise even controls my slightly older TV. The thing that it lacks is a dedicated mute button. You're only option is to just turn the TV all the way down, but this controller does that. It's also mostly slick plastic. The buttons are rubberized and I think that if the entire remote were coated in that, it would be a lot nicer, but that's a minor complaint.

This product has been a game changer! As a family, we constantly had two problems 1) dying ps4 controller battery and 2) a simple bump of the controller skips to the next scene. This remote was MADE FOR THE PS4! Easy set up and controls my volume on my tv. Definitely worth the extra $5 for the upgrade remote! Great deal

I love this remote. I use my PlayStation as my blu-ray player frequently. I could never remember how to pause and fast forward with the controller. This remote takes all the guess work out. It has pause, play, skip chapter, fast forward, and rewind. It even has volume control for the tv. It also has all the normal gamer controller buttons labeled. Literally my only complaint is, the remote can drain batteries quickly if you leave it sitting around unused. I just take the batteries out. I can’t more highly suggest an item.

Remote makes it so much easier to watch streaming content and movies on you PS4. Cloud service for looking up your TV model is also a plus.

This remote is very convenient and easier than using Dualshock controller. Being able to control TV functions as well is really helpful

Before getting this remote I would use the remote controller from the PlayStation to watch movies and streaming services , and I would always accidentally hit buttons on it that would cause my streaming to be interrupted. Now that I have this remote, when I’m not playing games , everything is so much easier.

I bought this recently for my PlayStation, and so far it works great! It is a faster and easier way to do things, I recommend it for everyone!

My teen daughter uses Netflix and Disney through her ps2 and this makes it much easier to watch.

It’s perfect!!! Way easier to maneuver through movies and it’s a very good necessity for all PS4 users!!!

Works great for PS4 use and functions, just wish it controlled other home entertainment devices. The center “wheel” can be a little difficult use, arrow use is weirdly set inside the other geometric symbols

Works Great, Middle enter button really needs to be pushed to use, but that's after a month of use. Great edition to the accessory box for ps4.
