I kept this for 10 days and returned it to get a Fitbit HR Charge Pros for Polar: 1. the watchface gives lots of information at once (time, heart rate etc.) the heart reate monitor is accurate since it goes around chest. (The fitbit Charge HR I replaced it with has a tiny screen and you need to push a button multiple times to get heart rate. time, and other statisticis (Fitbit also has the Surge model that has a full watch face but it is much more expensive than this Polar HR watch.). 2. Polar watch and chest strap are waterproof--which i really appreciate and lack of waterproofing on the fitbit is a big disadvantage to me. Cons: 1. To get Polar heart rate all the time (necessary for accurate calorie counting) you need to wear the chest strap. In warm (upper 70's) weather, wearing chest strap all the time gave me a rash and I had to move it up and down on to spread the rash out so it didn't get too bad. 2. I had trouble syncing with the phone app 3. I already have a Peeble smart watch (also bought from Best Buy) that I love because it gives me vibrations and informatiion on the screen for call, calendar appointments and text messages. I think this Polar watch gives at most (if at any) notification of cell calls and .without vibration (but maybe I didn't learn how to do it. )I didn't want to wear two watches so I returned the polar. I replacde this product with a fitbit charge HR sfor the following reasons 1. I didn't need to wear the chest strap since fitbit HR does heart rate on the wrist. 2. Thie fitbit charge HR is much smaller than the Polar watch so it dioesn't look so funny to wear it in addition to my Peeblle smart watch. 3. Synching to phone app was much easie for Fibit Charge Hrr than for Polar app. I reccomend buying this Polar from Best Buy or other store rather than online, because there can be issues with getting the Polar synced with computer and phone, which is essential to made effective use of the watch.. The Best Buy staff helped me.

I've used the original Up & then the Up24 which are great but have broken on 3 separate occasions, so hoping this A300 is more durable than the Jawbone Up. I've used the Polar FT60 but wanted to test out something that is closer to the Jawbone Up24 in functionality. Wish the watch was a bit less bulky, but overall works well. Sleep tracker isn't as accurate as the Up, but I really like having the heart rate strap option to truly get the most accurate calorie burn, etc. Nice app too though it would be nicer to have the food intake in the same app instead of needing to log into myfitnesspal or others. I read that later in 2015 this monitor will also have text notifications so that will be a nice enhancement. A300 doesn't have GPS but this isn't an issue for me. Would give this 5 stars if the sleep tracker worked better.
