Good but some cons
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I kept this for 10 days and returned it to get a Fitbit HR Charge Pros for Polar: 1. the watchface gives lots of information at once (time, heart rate etc.) the heart reate monitor is accurate since it goes around chest. (The fitbit Charge HR I replaced it with has a tiny screen and you need to push a button multiple times to get heart rate. time, and other statisticis (Fitbit also has the Surge model that has a full watch face but it is much more expensive than this Polar HR watch.). 2. Polar watch and chest strap are waterproof--which i really appreciate and lack of waterproofing on the fitbit is a big disadvantage to me. Cons: 1. To get Polar heart rate all the time (necessary for accurate calorie counting) you need to wear the chest strap. In warm (upper 70's) weather, wearing chest strap all the time gave me a rash and I had to move it up and down on to spread the rash out so it didn't get too bad. 2. I had trouble syncing with the phone app 3. I already have a Peeble smart watch (also bought from Best Buy) that I love because it gives me vibrations and informatiion on the screen for call, calendar appointments and text messages. I think this Polar watch gives at most (if at any) notification of cell calls and .without vibration (but maybe I didn't learn how to do it. )I didn't want to wear two watches so I returned the polar. I replacde this product with a fitbit charge HR sfor the following reasons 1. I didn't need to wear the chest strap since fitbit HR does heart rate on the wrist. 2. Thie fitbit charge HR is much smaller than the Polar watch so it dioesn't look so funny to wear it in addition to my Peeblle smart watch. 3. Synching to phone app was much easie for Fibit Charge Hrr than for Polar app. I reccomend buying this Polar from Best Buy or other store rather than online, because there can be issues with getting the Polar synced with computer and phone, which is essential to made effective use of the watch.. The Best Buy staff helped me.

Great Activity Monitor so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used the original Up & then the Up24 which are great but have broken on 3 separate occasions, so hoping this A300 is more durable than the Jawbone Up. I've used the Polar FT60 but wanted to test out something that is closer to the Jawbone Up24 in functionality. Wish the watch was a bit less bulky, but overall works well. Sleep tracker isn't as accurate as the Up, but I really like having the heart rate strap option to truly get the most accurate calorie burn, etc. Nice app too though it would be nicer to have the food intake in the same app instead of needing to log into myfitnesspal or others. I read that later in 2015 this monitor will also have text notifications so that will be a nice enhancement. A300 doesn't have GPS but this isn't an issue for me. Would give this 5 stars if the sleep tracker worked better.

love my new polar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was given the fit bit charge for a Christmas gift that was ok but only measured steps taken. I do zumba, cardio kickboxing,5k runs and weight train twice a week. was looking for a fitness tracker with heart rate monitor that would be more accurate for calories burned calories. I was deciding between polar a300 or fitbit charge HR, after reading reviews decided to go with the polar and glad I did. Great product does everything I need and more. very accurate heart rate. wearing the chest strap don't even know its there. Easy to use and keeps me motivated. Has alerts to keep me moving throughout the day. Highly recommend this product

The best fitness tracker ever!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to use only Polar watches with their heart rate tracker. Then along came FitBit with their 24 hour heart rate monitor without a strap and I thought, "Great!" Wrong. Going back to a Polar has been like going home. Though it doesn't track my heart rate 24/7 -- it tracks it when it counts... when I work out. Having to wear the strap is a small price to pay for having a MUCH longer battery life, waterproof wearability, sleep tracking... all of it!! I will never go without a Polar again. Never!!

If you want a sport watch this is the one.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an Apple watch wanting a sport watch and thought the other features would be an added bonus. The Apple watch is not a sport watch for many reasons. I turned in my Apple watch and got the Polar A300. It does everything you need a sport watch to do and much more. Plus is actually records your heart rate continuously and accurately. More than I can say for the "other" sport watch. I have had Polar products before and they a extremely durable.

Great Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was previously using the Polar FT4 to track my heart rate and the Fitbit to track my steps. I can now use the Polar A300 to do both! The watch is great to monitor your heart rate during workouts while tracking your daily steps and sleep habits. In addition, the watch works with the Polar Flow app. This is an awesome feature to view your heart rate patterns during your workout. The tracking of daily workouts is great because you can see how your progressing. Lastly, the watch also lets you know you need to move! For someone who works in an office this is great to remind you that you can't sit still all day.

Hmm...I don't sleep enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this moniter to figure out how activity I am. Biggest thing I have learned is I don't sleep nearly enough and have begun setting an alarm to ensure I go to bed with the ability to get more sleep. It has had a really positive affect on my productivity throughout the day. I really like that it has an alert that goes off when I have been sitting still for too long. I has a tendency to sit in front of a computer and get really focused which means not a lot of movement. The alert going off lets me know that I need to get up and move and has raised my activity levels.
