The sound quality is excellent for a 6 1/2 inch replacement speaker, a ton of mid and low range bass that is crystal clear even at high volume. It may have as good high range but it sits next to my feet on the floor of my S10 pickup and is not directional enough to hear it over the high range back speakers. Due to moisture all four of the original speaker cones had separated from the speaker chassis, so the fact that these are for marine use is a big bonus. I actually bought them because they were on sale and a good name brand and was certainly not expecting the kind of power and clarity these things put out at that price point. These are by far the best 6.5 inch speakers I have ever heard, the bass actually vibrates the back window from the front. If you need to replace stock speakers without modding the interior, look no farther, these are great.

Great clarity and bass. Sound quality is superb and no distortion at higher volume levels.This is an amazing speaker, especially considering the price you pay comparing it to other competitor speakers for around the same price. No regrets here, 100% satisfaction!

I was hesitant to buy these speakers thinking they would only give a marginal increase in fidelity. I upgraded the speakers in a 2014 Fusion. Fortunately I was wrong. They sound very good, handle all that the factory unit can put out without any distortion. Bass is surprisingly good as are the mids and highs. If you need heavy bass a sub is needed. For me though the sound is much better than the toy factory speakers. The price from BB was the best I could find anywhere.
