The sound quality is excellent for a 6 1/2 inch replacement speaker, a ton of mid and low range bass that is crystal clear even at high volume. It may have as good high range but it sits next to my feet on the floor of my S10 pickup and is not directional enough to hear it over the high range back speakers. Due to moisture all four of the original speaker cones had separated from the speaker chassis, so the fact that these are for marine use is a big bonus. I actually bought them because they were on sale and a good name brand and was certainly not expecting the kind of power and clarity these things put out at that price point. These are by far the best 6.5 inch speakers I have ever heard, the bass actually vibrates the back window from the front. If you need to replace stock speakers without modding the interior, look no farther, these are great.

I was hesitant to buy these speakers thinking they would only give a marginal increase in fidelity. I upgraded the speakers in a 2014 Fusion. Fortunately I was wrong. They sound very good, handle all that the factory unit can put out without any distortion. Bass is surprisingly good as are the mids and highs. If you need heavy bass a sub is needed. For me though the sound is much better than the toy factory speakers. The price from BB was the best I could find anywhere.

I bought this speakers as a substitute to the ones on the Factory Subwoofer ( 1999 Range Rover ) and they really sound better than expected. Bass is good, no distortion at all. Guidance by the store techs was great and they understood I wasn't looking for a competition subwoofer speakers. The also provided some guidance in another issue regarding wiring.

Excellent quality of sound loud clear bass and highs

Best set of coaxils I've ever had. The sound is phenomenal. Bass is rich. I generally scoop the mids. I highly recommend them. Tried all the other brands ie pioneer, kenwood ... But these had the best sound and clarity above all.

these are pretty good speakers, especially for the price. not high end performance but they're not high end speakers. they have a very competent sound: fairly detailed highs, decent midrange, and a bit of bass.

I'm very impressed with the sound quality of my Polk speakers. I listen to a variety of music that has a lot of bass heavy tones. The Polk speakers have been able to handle the bass without any distortion whatsoever . I'm very pleased with this purchase.

These pair of 6 1/2s are in my door panels, and they knock. With the right HU, they kick some nice low bass, and sound great when producing highs.

Nice sounds, bass sounds good. If used in a kicker box with an amp it would defiantly sound a lot better.

I have always been a Polk audio fan and these don't disappoint. For the size, the bass is great. Wish the high were a little better but for the price I can't really complain too much.

Bass response is decent despite not having a dedicated crossover (or sub)

I picked these up to replace the front door speakers in my 2013 Fiat 500c. The adaptor rings fit the mounting hole well, although I did have to drill one hole on each door since all but one hole matched up. Not really a problem thought. Bass is tight, although slightly boomy. I'm on the stock standard stereo though, so the receiver is probably just as much to blame. Overall , these have a nice, warm tone with good presence. They match well with the stock tweeters in the pillars and don't sound out of place. For the price, these are a great choice.
