Customers value the 505 CST Treadmill for its ease of use, quiet operation, and affordable price. Many appreciate its compact size and the inclusion of a fan. However, some experienced issues with the belt, assembly process, and motor, while others reported problems with the incline function. A few customers also found the treadmill to be excessively heavy.
I recently purchased this treadmill which is a very good deal given the discounted price. We encountered issues with the screws during assembly. It still has one screw that we can't fully put through as it is very tight (I encircled it in the picture). The treadmill is sturdy and I like that it has built-in fan too. Overall performance is great. Ifit is a pretty cool app that comes with one month free membership. I like the video, the instructor, the music that comes with the video and that everything syncs up with the treadmill. Similar to what others have said, it is up to you if you would like to continue with the membership, but so far I like the app.

Quick hitters: Pros-quiet machine, easy to operate, no problems running on it Cons-not fun to assemble (at least the one we got) This review will be based on 2 things: operation and setup Operation: As far as operating the treadmill this item is very nice. It’s quiet and comfortable running. I am 5’10” and I ran on the treadmill at 6.0 with no issues of length or width of the treadmill. I inclined it a little as well to check that out and that works well too. What I like about the treadmill is that it has some quick starts on the panel where you can simply click “6 and it takes you to 6mph.” It does look like there are built in programs as well but haven’t tried them yet. Overall, using the treadmill is easy and we really like that aspect. Cons: The delivery team was TOP NOTCH when bringing the product into the house. That’s where the positives ended with set up. My wife and I opened up the box (no issues all parts looked new and nice) and read the directions. They seemed simple enough. We even watched a YouTube video and it looked like it’d take maybe 30-35 minutes. Well, just over 2 hours later we finished setup. The biggest headache was on the 2nd step. The “grommet” did NOT fit in the slot it was supposed to. I spent 30+ minutes trying to file the plastic to fit it in the slot. It was very frustrating. Additionally, the labeling of the parts (screws and bolts in the package) was confusing and really could’ve been improved. Lastly I don’t like the marketing scheme they use saying your treadmill won’t work unless you activate ifit. That’s completely incorrect and also really not cool. Just hold the ifit blue button on the screen for 15-30 seconds and your treadmill is good to go Overall, We like the treadmill and it’s a good add to our cardio equipment in our basement gym. I would recommend the product but maybe have geek squad set it up to avoid the hassle (which is what should’ve happened for us because I’m a total tech member but it didn’t Happen and I needed it set up by Christmas Day) So-treadmill for walking and jogging (I run 5 k 4 days a week in nicer weather) is great! (5*) setup (3*)

This treadmill is great so far. My wife and I are both about 5’6” tall. I am about 220lbs and she is about 130lbs. The treadmill feels great for both of us. It has a motorized incline up to 10%. The iFit feature was a bit strange, but we easily bypassed it by holding the iFit Sync button for about 20-30 seconds. Putting it together is not hard, but it is best to have two people available, and you will want a good wrench and patience. If I have to gripe, the mechanism used for lifting the treadmill to a standing/storage position is a hydraulic shaft. It does a great job, but I worry it will wear out. Also, while it locks when it goes up, I do not trust the lock (built into the hydraulic shaft). For this reason, I won’t be leaving it lifted due to small children being in our home. Only other thing to be aware of is that for heavier people (like me at 220 or more) will want to walk at 2+ mph, as any slower will cause the belt to feel like it is slipping/lagging.
