Does this antenna still work okay if laid flat on a surface? Or does it need to be hung up? null

I tested this a few months ago. My TV picked 71 channels in a vertical position and about 50 when I laid it flat. As you might guess, the ones I was unable to get when the antenna was flat on a table were those that were weaker and/or farther away.

I don't know about lying flat (though I'd guess it's fine).  I actually just propped it on the nearby window sill.  Works great.

For me it works great hung up. I would send a picture, but I am a senior citizen and I don't know how to send photo.
